I have been drooling over Lord's sets since Ii first saw them. Are you talking about making similar pieces Jackattack?

Dafrca, I already posted a link to lecartomancien's blog where he described his home-made custom pieces (for his own personal use and fun; not for sale), but I just realized now that it's in french (I'm bilingual). I guess you could use Google translate?
Sad to report French is not a language I can read. But I did realize I could use translate and did.

I would buy up those "edges" without a thought. I love the idea of mixing the 3D tile and using the cloth/images to create a complete setting. The idea os a great one in my opinion.

Thanks

Daniel

Arcarius,
Lord's pieces are excellent, but have separate sets/tiles for rivers and lakes. My version requires far fewer pieces (at its most basic), and adds walls so that it can create a complete chamber without buying other limited edition sets (that might not be available in equal numbers). This is presented as a suggestion for DF to develop, as it may be an approach they hadn't considered before. (But it could also be one they considered and rejected.)

biowizard,
The title refers to a specific thread titled "More Lava!" from 2006 (which got split in a server incident a while back), and to the many times this topic has come up since then.

I would buy all of these suggested pieces in this thread. I really would like a hellscape lava set like the one first suggested.

Look at what I bought for quite cheap including shipping from China on eBay

Basically, I think I can built myself a custom LED light box. I could choose which color of light it produces, its intensity, its pulsation, it would produce very low heat and it would not need to be very thick, many improvements over lecartomancien`s design...

How about cutting floor tiles from the kickstarter and putting images underneath?

any suggestions for cutting the new dwarvinite? i though i would convert some of my pieces to jagged "open pit" pieces?

any way of not having to enter a code for every post? i logged in with a password, the code seems ridiculous

Before I started cutting up Game Tiles, I would wait for replacement pieces to become available on the website.

As no one has received any Dwarvenite pieces yet, no one can comment on cutting it.

A while back the forums had some very bad problems with spam bots. The code for posting was a very welcome fix.

I'm half way tempted to make my own lava lake and lava river sets so I don't have to order from France ;). That shipping is a killer.

It looks as if the negative approach might not be happening for the cavern ks.

I really thought we would have the pieces necessary for the negative approach from the leaked picture:

Perhaps we will have both? (Hopeful enthusiasm here)

I suspect we'll get both. The pieces in the video look like what Stefan would want to offer as the "easy" river solution. While the accessory for caverns chasms can also be used for the negative space approach for more expert builders. I'll be very, very happy to have both.

before everyone goes ape bananas I'm just going to go and say yes....we are doing both....we were just going to to do the chasm approach for all, but then I just figured, the heck with it, lets do both:) It's making my life hell now, but hey, the enthusiasm y'all show gets me pumped up!
