BH1 - Thank you again for the post of set descriptions.

Could you please post or send me a picture of the scrolls from the scrolls and tome set?
I see you listed 1xHorizontally Opened Scroll and 2xVertically Opened Scroll.
Since there only appears to be one type of opened scroll in the Treasure & Magic Item set I own, I am not familiar with two types of opened scrolls.
I am hoping to see them before I add their descriptions to the spreadsheet.
Thanks!
EDIT: ------------- Ah...no real need to do this. I took a closer look at my scroll and saw the lines going across. I assume you're referring to the direction the lines of text read as compared to how the scroll unfurls. That's good enough for me. Thanks.
EDIT #2: On second thought. Here's a picture of the set as shown on a retailer's site: us.st11.yimg.com/store1.yimg.com/I/svgames-store_1890_77331754
That set shows 3 opened scrolls but if you look at the direction the lines are going, I'd say all three were opened horizontally (lay the scroll in front of you and unroll it to the left and right).
Is the picture incorrect compared to what is in the set or am I missing something? Thanks.

RabidFox - Thanks for the item posts. I made the additions.

Hi weaverjk,

I created a list with suggested tile names for the V1.0 Versions of the tile set definition files for the Tile System in the TS thread:

www.dwarvenforge.com/dwarvenforums/viewtopic.php?pid=14827#p14827

maybe you take a look at it and give some comments.

LoneStarr -

Spare time? What's THAT?
If I had spare time, the inventory database would have been done in MS Access, with pics, data entry forms, and a list of reports, 2 YEARS ago, when someone here on the forum mentioned it the first time! I thought about it then, I think about it now, then I look at 20 YEARS of Temple of Trek tapes that I have to capture into Sony Vegas, edit into some semblance of rationality, and produce DVDs for each year!
So much for the DF database. Oh, well. And then I have a model show to coordinate with the DC IPMS chapter for Autumn 2007; more work to keep me from the DF DB.
Stop me! Stop me before I volunteer AGAIN!!!
Oh NO! Too LATE!! He's gone and DONE IT AGAIN!!!

See ya!

I was thinking of including pictures and descriptions sometime down the road. That would be nice.
I someone thinks they can take these lists and put them into Access (and have it be better than Excell for this purpose), great. Any Volunteers? ;)

weaverjk -

If I can use the pics from TileSystem, I think I can do the database. It really shouldn't be that difficult. My only problem is going to be time; I'm running with a limited amount of it right now. IF I can wait until after June-July to start, I might be able to do something (not including pics) by GenCon Indy.
Whatcha think?

Well since the images from the Tile System will be there anyway, they could also be used in that DB.

The potential question is, what they should serve for in the DB?
While for the TS we need those straight down from above shots to serve in maps, shots for 'look how cool this piece is' might be shot at an angle from a side or from the front (like the photos on the web page) in order to give a good view on the tiles.

When I am done with TS photo shots I could someday create such shots (have to check, if I can get some blue or green screen stuff from somewhere; I think my neighbour, where I borrowed the tripod from, might have some) and provide them in a zip archive on the same web site.
You have just to tell what resolution you would like for them then.

O.k.--I think I'm going to inventory my stuff this weekend (in all my copious spare time... ::chuckle::). I have a fair amount of DF stuff and I'm curious to see how much I've "invested" in the company since they first opened for biddness.

One thing I was wondering is... should I account for spending less on some of my DF purchases if they were purchased at a discount at GenCon? What about eBay purchases at less than retail? Any suggestions? Should I just chalk it all up as full retail?

Good questions.

Tom:
25 Diagonal Walls Set MM-004
30 Short Passages Set MM-005
Curved Walls and Passage Set MM-008

Dante:
I wasn't sure how to handle that either. I figure for a rough estimate of what is owned, use the DF Web Site Original Retail Value. Of course, I think I modified this a bit in some cases. I did not include Discounted prices (I bought some of my stuff at 20-40% off when Wizards of the Coast stores were closing) nor over-priced items (such as the $100 I spent on a Narrow Passages Set). If you want, however, you could always put in the exact values you paid...but for my own purposes, it's nice enough to have a rough value based upon original retail. I suppose if you are using this to buy an insurance policy, you'd want to use exact dollar figures.

For those wishing to use the inventory spreadsheet....hang on just a while longer.
I'm working hard and almost have it completed. (in other words, if you are using the spreadsheet, you might wait until I post the "Final 1.0" version which should be tonight if I'm lucky enough to bust it out.

Thanks!
