Well, here we go -- not the best pics, but some experiments. I'll work at getting something really great later. I was just seeing what could be built with 1 set, and plus I have these new Underdark D&D minis...

A couple of others -- one, not DoE (!) but a neat shot of an evil fountain I made with a Reaper gargoyle, some HA bricks, and some resin.

Also a shot that I tried to get a kind of "Let there be light!" moment -- a cleric purging the Den of Evil and bringing in the righteous wrath of a pure diety....

A few more -- still nothing TOO special, but I do like some of these -- trying to get the lighting to work, so the pictures are clear and sharp, but still have atmosphere....

WOW! I’m so jealous.

What the heck was I thinking not ordering a few of these DoE sets? I’m an idiot…That’s the only thing I can think of.

Man, great photos Lawrence and I love the Demon fountain. Cool, cool, stuff.... =D

What’s the story with ordering DoE? Have I blown it?

A few more pics, this time a series focusing on the fountain that I made -- I had this lying around from about a year ago, and with DoE it really seemed like a perfect setting for it.

I'm suddenly overwhelmed by how many minis seem perfect for this set -- angels, demons, necromancers, aberrations of all sorts...

Heh, thanks for the kind words, IO -- praise from the master, indeed.....

Here's a few more shots, bigger ones this time...

Hey L!

I think I recognize that mirror/portal; it looks like the Grendel one from the Wizards Workshop set, isn't it?
I used it this July for a setup at Shore Leave; had some folks seriously running around, wondering where the nasties were coming from, when they'd already sealed the dungeon entrance!

Nice setup, guy! And some seriously good pix!

Yup -- good eye! Very nice set, that one. I originally got it for the other pieces, and I wasn't crazy about the portal.

Then, after I'd primed it and started painting it, I was thinking about what kind of crazy light show (or, better, "cah-raaay-zee light show") I was going to put in it, and I realized before I started on that portion that it looked best to me with the "inside" unpainted. The matte black primer just suggests a kind of flat darkness, like there's a space in there that's only two-dimensional, and it's just void. Either a portal that's shut down for now, resting, or one that leads to a VERY narsty place. I like the idea that the DoE has this thing at its root -- you fight through to get to this particularly awful hole and you reach the source of all the evil....

IO, Dwarven Forge started taking orders again two days ago for Den of Evil sets, and if they've run out again, you still have another chance because they have one last shipment coming in later as well.

L, good pictures showcasing DoE. I especially like the one with the blob/creature with many eyes and teeth. That creature looks perfect as an inhabitant for DoE.

A few more -- I love the medusa figure, I'm both happy with the paint job and I REALLY think she looks appropriate wandering the DoE corridors....

Also some shots showing the most logical ENTRANCE to this place... what ELSE could connect the regular DF dungeons to the Den?

;)

Wow! Just awesome L,

I really want my DOE Sets! Jeff can you hear me?? I am back from Japan now................

That Medusa fig is wonderful and what a great paint job, a really artistic and gutsy piece of work! It looks perfect in the DOE, a perfect marriage, he, he, he...
