Muahahahah... simply nefarious... the only way this could possibly be any better would be if the cube was actually capable of engulfing the players' minis!

Excellent job.

THAT could be done, by taking the GC off the base and leaving it open. It wouldn't LOOK gelatinous, but it WOULD be hollow - allowing the envelopment. From then on, the cube and the player's mini would move at the same time, in the CUBE's turn. The player's turn would be when the player tried to escape the gel cube.

Could make for some...interesting...game play.
Until the gel cube's digestion got to work.

SEE YA!

Yes yes, i'd thought of that... i was talking about more of an actual gel which would be extremely plastic, but still able to maintain a cube form... so if it were to hit with a successful engulf attack... you could actually engulf your players' minis.

that'd make cocky PCs think twice before messing with the cube.

Try agar, or geleton.

Boil it, let it cool a smidge, poor it in the empty GC let it set in the Frifge and then when they get hit, squish it over the Mini... :) and if you use jello you could eat it when done

Yes... and instead of using water to make the jell-o... you could use phosphoric acid! so that their minis would actually be digested!

Wonderful.

I'd be careful about that; some gamers I've DM'd would get HIGHLY UPSET if they came away with a piece of molten pewter after losing a game - or an encounter.

Then again, I ALSO know a certain sapphire-inhabiting PitA that would deserve such a fate - if it weren't for the fact that he almost ALWAYS uses MY MINIATURES in the game!

What's the fun in destroying your OWN minis?

Hmmm...

For those who are the "hobby" painter/gamer, a chance/reason to buy a new mini and paint it?

Heh... few people know that the dwarf actually has a "bite" attack as a racial trait, but it is only usable against the rare and elusive strawberry GC. On a successful grapple check, a dwarf with con 15 or more and at least three ranks in the "face stuffing" skill can attempt to completely consume the cube.

This is, of course, complete nonsense.

What I REALLY want to try is to do almost exactly what I did the second time around, only to put some red paint on the minis in key places first. Then pour the resin while the paint is still wet -- ideally it would create a kind of smeary stain around the figure, not quite a cloud but more like a streaked cloud. Less ideally it would diffuse into the resin before the stuff cured and I'd end up with a strawberry GC.

But if it DID work, it would be REALLY disgustingly cool...
