No USAF in my fitness report - just USA.
Currently: government mixed service.
In and out of a lot of posts/bases these days.
Just doing US's work at a less than the normal service price unfortunately.

DMMJ -

USAF here, too - Class of '72, Bien Hoa AB, RVN, and interesting places around there.
Welcom home, guy.

See ya! (In Indy?)

Jim

Oh yeah! I do Gen Con every year and donate a generous portion of my feeble pay check to DF. Hahn AB, and Eglin. Maybe I'll see you there-looking forward to meeting IO.

Armorcast's models were owned by the sculptors who designed them, including Tim and Dave, the company actually only owned reproduction rights. As such, there various models could end up produced by different companies depending on the deal each sculptor makes. I designed all the medieval houses and a few other misc. pieces. I sold my rights, and Armorcast sold the master molds, to a new company; Fiend Foundry. I know Fiend Foundry intends to buy the rights of some of the other sculptors, and the respective mastermolds from Armorcast, however, I don't know the status of any possible deal. As I understand Fiend Foundry will go live in the next month or so. There website is FiendFoundry.com, but its just a home page as I write this. I will more than likely be designing some new stuff for them once they're up and running. For now I've started dropping a few things on ebay here and there under wargames terrain/sci-fi.

I do not seem to be able to find that category.
Could you please tell us your eBay handle?
We can search from that data.

Tony,

Do you happen to know Fiend Foundry intends to produce any of the old Terraform "crystal" pieces as well?

If you want crystals for your dungeon, check out Kilroy's web page home.insightbb.com/~kilroy07/products/products.htm

He does the crystals in clear resin, with or without color tinting. They're terrific.

His terrain pieces are excellent. I have a Chaos Temple that he did, fully painted and absolutely incredible. His City of Death line includes a really nice cast resin fountain, with a nice tutorial of how to make a standard mini into a statue on top.

Wereweasel,

I believe Tim the owner owns the rights to the crystals. As i understand Fiend Foundrys' intent is to buy all of Armorcasts discontinued models, but over time;they had an extensive ( and thus expensive investment) catalog. I will have a few small (1-1 1/2") crystals on ebay this week.

That's great info on both counts.

Kradlo,

I have been dying to get my hands on some "clear" crystal pieces for some time now. The various colours, the high quality and superb detail on the piece are amazing! I will be getting me some of those as soon I can get my hands on some different (and variable) formations in clear resin. I intend to make large builds using the crystals, and having only one formation would be too repetitive for any such setups, so I need to find more (variety) before I can take the plunge (to clear resin crystals) so-to-speak. Thanks for the great link.

Tony,

That's great news about the crystals. As per above, do you think there may be a possibility that Fiend Foundry may consider offering the crystal pieces in clear resin as well, possibly as a "premier" of "custom" series. Obviously the price would be higher, but if they were available I for one would be willing to buy. Just a thought.

IO,

Sorry for straying, (somewhat) off topic.

Thanks again.

Steve

I know this is an old posting, but since the door post is still fresh. I thought this might be good inspiration for Stefan's next door set =)
