Stefan and Jeff:

Curse you for the recent 10% or 20% discount on your awesome product. That was excellent and made me spend another grand**, which busted my month. I cannot wait to open my new toys!

I think you sales are a bit along the lines of the pusher's "first hit is free".

OK, so my sale order arrived. My first look at the lake series....expansion and some single pieces. The imagineering of the pieces, from artistic conception to execution, is stunning. Can't wait to get a regular lake set.

The chasm set will be infinitely useful in gaming. I have already in mind several PC who should fall (perhaps with just a slight push...) over one of those narrow edges....

FAntasy Floor set: LOts of places to put these PC kil....umm, interesting additions. I like the flexibility of pieces that are not tied to a set.

Cavern Set: Based on advice from other adikts, I bought one more Cavern set, for 2 each cavern and cavernous passages. For our style of play this shuld be fine.

Hellscape: Some of my players are already complaining, and none of them have even been a bit scorched yet. Soon. Soon. Sooner, in fact, than they think.
Stefan, I do wonder one thing. The translucent depth of the lake pieces is part of their marvel. Lava flows I've seen have a kind of appearance of translucence - they aren't really, but the heat makes them look as if you can see into them. I wonder if clear resin, heavily covered, might not be made to do the same duty....sort of like the water puddles in caverns.

DoE: Wicked Adders. havent' figured out where to put this...or even if I really want the two DoE basic and all the adders. I might rather have more caverns and passages. BUT....they were beautifully done. Hard to part with, Stefan.

RotA ruined entrance: I do not plan to buy any RotA, but the entrance is easily worth having by itself. Still examining it for tiny details I know are there but have not seen yet. Bravo, STefan.

DoE ROom Set: Ok, maybe I'll keep DoE...but d--- it all, I got set # 665! Why could I not have got the next number?! I could have mounted it on the wall next to our playing table...just as a reminder to the players....when they enter the DoE....

I'm afraid this sale will make DWF a lot of my money.

Thanks for all your comments, I really enjoy getting the feedback. About the hellscape, perhaps you could get some of that fake water stuff from a trainstore or hobbyshop and carefully add it to your Lava Rivers? We considered doing it but the increase in production cost was an issue and we felt that it would be OK with just the varnishing instead, thus saving on the Sets final cost...

Stefan:

I'm an artistic dummy, so I wasn't expressing it very well. I don't think putting clear over the hellscape would get where I want. Extremely hot lava is so hot it appears to have a translucence it does not have. You're the artist, I'm sure you can picture how to get there better than I. Look at pix of the Hawaii volcanoes. I think clear colored with dense yellow, but not too dense might do it...I'm sure the productions costs wouldn't justify it. 'Anyway, I'll try some things.
