Well I'm off to see the theatrical performance of The Lord Of the Rings again, for the last (snif) time before it moves on to London.

If the UK version is anything like the one performed here, (in Toronto) then you'll be in for one amazing treat!

Although it had far too short of a run here, at least it's going to where it (arguably) should have premiered anyway.

The final performance here is this Sunday, so I can only presume the London opening is rapidly approaching.

Enjoy.

I hear it has opened in London.

Anyone over there planning to see it soon?

Yes it was.

But the Toronto version was over 3 hours long with a limited score of songs. So for those who aren't fans of musicals that version wasn't over-burdened with them. I can't speak for the (apparently) shortened London version though.

That being said, I always sum up a show (live or otherwise) shortly therafter in a word/phrase. I recall after seeing the TO version (for the first time), that I finally understood the term "a spine-tingling performance". It was a truly impressive perfomance, IMHO.

If it returns, there is no doubt that I would go again.

Harneloot,

There are just too many references out there regarding this. I just searched the title and added the word "London" to the search and got a load of various links.

I would suggest the search route so you may select the specific type of info and site(s) you were looking for.

I hope this helps.

Well, in this vein, you can also find the soundtrack of "The Last Starfighter" on CD.

Not the movie. The off-Broadway musical.

I haven't heard it yet, but I intend to own it one day, if only for novelty value.

And there is a CD call "Spider-Man: Rock Reflections of a Superhero" from a recording made in the 1970s, which is also a great novelty/kitsch item. (Hey-la, Doctor Octa, Doctor Octa, Doctor Octopus...)
