Chocolate is beautiful !! Part Golden Retriever, too ? The first pic really looks it (but still can see the trademark blue/black Chow tongue). A very nice mix that I've never seen (or imagined) before. What's the personality like? Aloof like a typical Chow or wag-happy like a Golden ... or a tempered mix of both like the physique?

Oh, and not to leave your sister-in-law out at all ... she is beautiful, too!! And that's only a gentlemanly compliment ... I am married, after all :)

Fu-Man -

I'M not a gentleman; unless I'm mistaken, those are two BEAUTIFUL ladies in that first pic, and a very HUNGRY one in the second! I'm happily married, but Sandy says that doesn't mean I'm dead; just dignified.
Seriously, guy; they are both very nice looking people.

Being a puppy-mind-reader, I can tell you what your Peke has on his mind in that pic:

"Waddaya mean, these aren't MY wires? But, you promised I could have them if I didn't chew them up.
You PROMISED! Yes you DID!
Dintcha? Aww, Boss . . ." and quivver the chin.

How close am I?

See ya, guys!

Actually, he's not a chewer. He has only chewed up one thing that I can remember - a cardboard Space Hulk Marine.

Cardboard Marine?

No big deal; the stupid grunt deserved to be chewed up.
Next time, he'll come back as plastic or metal!

Get the feeling I don't LIKE GW?

See ya!

Thanks for the compliments guys - and I'll pass on the other ones to my sister-in-law...

I'm not sure what kind of mix breed chocolate is - the most obvious to me is the Chow-chow... His sister was hard to see too - and other than the completely black tongue, she didn't look chow.

Chocolate's personality is the best of any dog I've had - VERY friendly, with kids too... however, he's also one of the biggest cowards too - scared of pretty much everything. That makes him a lot of fun though as he's really timid unless he knows you very well (then he just wants to play). On the other hand, his sister (named Vanilla as she was completely white) was the typical chow temperament - kinda aloof and aggressive. We only had her for a year before she flew the coop... but in retrospect, Chocolate's probably a lot better off as she used to snap, growl, and bite at him...

Fu-Man;

I'll betcha Chocolate isn't a chicken if someone ever tried to seriously threaten you or any kids he considers "Under his care."

On the other hand, once he got to know me, I'D be chicken he'd run over me playing tag or something! Ever notice hwo, once a big dog trusts and like you, he considers YOU his personal roly-poly toy? How many times has he knocked YOU down?

See ya!
