That party portrait was pretty cool. One year the guy DM'ing our game commissioned an artist friend of his to do small ~5x8" pictures of each of the characters in his campaign as a Christmas gift. That was a cool thing (I will see if I can find the picture of my character) and grab a snapshot of it sometime. That campaign had been going for years and the characters were all in the high teens levels by that point. It is cool when the folks get that invested in a game.

And so it has come to pass, the conclusion to Curse of Strahd - Ravenloft. It was an absolutely amazing adventure that everyone loved. Alren tells the story incredibly well, and it is finished in the final chapter of his memoirs. He simply added onto Chapter 10 of his final entry as it made the most sense in telling of the story. If you have already read some of Chapter 10, just skip to the middle where the story continues.

The player who acted as Alren, son of House Dekk did something that blew me away. HE COMMISSIONED A DRAWING OF THE ENTIRE PARTY AT NO SMALL EXPENSE! I mean the drawing looks exactly like the miniatures that I painted and that you see throughout the whole telling of their story. He has included the drawing at the very end of Chapter 10 as a kind of final farewell and cap to the adventure. If you don’t jump onto Imgur and check it out, that is truly your loss for I am just flabbergasted that someone would actually go to these lengths to commerate the quest. It really was that much fun. I’ll reiterate, if you don’t check it out, you’ll regret it. Probably the coolest and classiest gesture I have ever seen a player do in the 35 years I have been playing this game. Just fantastic.

Ahhh..complete. It was fun. I hope you enjoyed the rendering of the quest. We are starting another adventure next week in which something odd will happen...I will be a PC and not a DM. A gift from one of the players, as he knows I badly want to play in this capacity some. So much gaming to do, so little time.

Farewell for now. Enjoy the story, I certainly did. :D

Thanks. It has (was) a lot of fun. We finished. I won’t say more as I’ll wait for Alren, Son of House Dekk to tell his own story. He promised to do it even if it was post humorous. You’ll just have to wait a bit longer to find out. :)

Wow.

It gets real. Strahd is such a powerhouse to have to contend with. If it weren’t for the Icon of Ravenkind, they would all be dead, or rather undead and his pawns right now. A deadly confrontation that takes the whole campaign down to its final moments. The last session is today. The victor will be determined shortly, it could go either way. The party did manage to “defeat” the Devil Strahd, and have forced him into mist form. He must now take a few short moments to find his strength in his coffin (about an hour, that’s it!), and the party is perilously low on strength. The last battle taxed them sorely. Several of them went down in the battle royals as-is.

As Inigo Montoya famously said, “THERE WILL BE BLOOD TONIGHT!”.

Yes, I definitely thought of our lagomorph friend when I first saw this some time back. I think I actually have 1-2 as I was given them free.
