I've tried customer support and the web site form, but haven't heard back so I figured I'd try this route.
I was going through my pieces and noticed that the 1x1 and 1x2 floors as well as most of the trifecta floor pieces are painted a solid black without the translucent lava color in the cracks. Checking other people's pictures and the unboxing videos, it appears to be universal. Is this a factory error?

Re: Paint issue
It's not a factory error. If you look on the Hellscape Kickstarter page under the "Piece Grimoire", all the pieces you mention are opaque.

I had noticed that too and when I went to the KS page, all those tiles were depicted without any lava flow in the cracks. Since it was only some of the Trifecta tiles, it was more noticeable once I spotted it.
Re: Paint issue
Hmm. Good to know. I can accept that they were never stated to be translucent, but it was not very obvious, to say the least. I planned to use those tiles over the light panels. Now I can‘t. Sad.

Re: Paint issue
Mine are the same and I came here to figure this out.
Thanks for the "Piece Grimoire" That's very helpful!
I have no idea why they would not "finish" the paint job on these few small tiles, they stand out poorly when placed adjacent to other tiles.
Looks like it's time to pull out the brushes and paint in the lava colors myself.
Peace
