DF plays with the images and lighting so much it is hard to tell anything from their beauty shots. That said, it does look good and Ill be watching with interest.

I agree I don't need glamour shots just show me what you got. haha
Agree! :D

Although, yes, I know, glamour shots sell product. :)

I hate to say it, but this last pic looks less transparent, more painted on to me...

I have a prediction. If it's painted on, I think the lava river will technically be a second piece, and it will be hydro-painted on using that dipping method. Then that second piece will be glued into the floor.
Interesting, unpainted will be a complete non starter for me then. No factory paint for me. This is the danger of a small kick starter. It will not be less work only less money.

It is hard to judge from a prototype. I am waiting for details.

I liked the clear crystal parts. I am afraid most of the stuff I wanted is in the second wave.

It looks to me like the lava ripples are painted on. Maybe, just maybe there will new sculpts that will also come in water paint to enhance the original water tiles too. :D
Hmm, to me it looks like yellow resin with a smattering of orange and deep red paint. The ripples are there and the light underneath shines through the caps better as the paint is thinner at the top, leading to what we see.
If it is opaque I do not believe the factory will never be able to get it to look like that for a reasonable price.. If is more orange PVC it will be an easy pass.

They are clearly different pieces, but I think the takeaway is that there will be lava pieces that mirror the water pieces everyone loves (not negative space) and then a transition piece to get down to a terrain tray. I agree that the textures of the lava river pieces look great.

Hmmm, they look quite different to me. Not sure how that can be a different paint job, but ready to be surprised.
