Awesome setups as usual Oldent :)

The spilt ale and childs toy are standouts - nice job.

But back on topic - clearly there are enough bar patrons minis ;)

Would love to see modular minis where they are magnetised at the waist

So you would have two upper stances - fighting and casual
Then a number legs that allow running and sitting etc

You can also mix and match upper and lower halves for variation.

We would steer away from more modularity such as different arms heads etc - while not the worst idea we think these start to become fiddly and easy to lose.
There are never enough Bar Patrons :!:
Most of the figures in the Photo are long out of production.

"Would love to see modular minis where they are magnetized at the waist"

I do not think that would be desirable in this scale. "fiddly and easy to lose" is very much an understatement.

Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates-
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Cut the cloth and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! carefully with the plates!

Also, half a "land shark", coming out of the terrain, same for violet worms, kraken and other huge creatures that appear from terrain. More furniture, libraries, wooden spiral stairs, flying carpet, goblins that hide in a barrel. How about apes and others that can hang from the KS6 trees? A Dragon that straddles a KS3 rooftop with no ugly base to spoil the setting? Where bases are needed I'd personally prefer a transparent base that blends as much as can be with the terrain.

While I can't speak for others, I already have a profusion of combat stance minis and monsters. Where Dwarven Forge could prove unique is to make available minis that fit in in well with the terrain we have already brought. For example, I have very few seated minis. Minis that can sit on DF's furniture or sit in a row boat could be unique and useful. Goblins seated around a table playing poker. Orc head and shoulders that match with the beds in earlier sets or the rough sleeping firs that came in one of the resin sets. These could be helpful for the occasions when the party or party scout enters a room unexpectedly.
Also minis that take advantage of existing magnets could be helpful. A matched standing and climbing rogue, the climbing version having a magnet that can cling to the wall magnets. Or a climbing spider with a magnet and no base (Though people may do a DIY job on this with joke store spiders). A half body ghost that can appear to be popping out of a wall using a magnet to stay in place. Half body lizard folk that fit well with the water tiles in KS 2, appearing to be half submerged ( I vaguely recall this as having already been done). Perhaps mix and match upper and lower body sections, some lower body sections being matched with a riding stance and a riding animal such as a horse or griffin. Some beggars or minstrels seated on the ground to populate our cities would be helpful also.
Looking forward to the Kick Starter 7.

A gazebo would be a fun addition in a minis kickstarter. :)

It would be a nice wink to DF's terrain roots.

Welcome, Fatherchaos.

To avoid bankruptcy and divorce, consider doing outdoor builds more and using cheap terrain (hills, stretches of forest, swamp) to fill the the board.

I play with a 5' x 10' fly table (I have two but rarely fill both at once) and have gone four layers deep on 'em. ITs fun but not necessary.

Just remember that space (with bushes, etc in it) can be a gaming environment too. And you can always stick a DwF Gazebo in the middle of that little wooded park....

Welcome to the forums fatherchaos :)

That is indeed a big old board to fill - we would suggest looking at terrain trays as they will bulk fill any large areas which can then be backfilled with 3d sculpts as and when you get them. Terrain trays can they be used for other uses.

We use the water terrain trays for moats etc but the reverse can be used for courtyards or roads etc.

Like Gow points out, the key is working out what environments you use and tailor your purchases accordingly. We use predominantly overground terrain so plenty of castles and CBS and soon forests :)

With each Kickstarter comes more options and ultimately more terrain to cover your game board at a relatively cheap cost (for Dwarvenite), so recommend trying to take as much advantage of the Kickstarters as possible.
