Try Army Painter Matte Varnish. I didn’t know about the change to dullcote, bummer. It worked well.

Do the sprays contain acetone?

Help!: Games Tiles And Tacky Finishing Spray

Post by kiltedyaksman » Thu Aug 23, 2018 8:47 pm

I had great success finishing My KS1 tiles with Testors Dullcotte.

However, since then the Dullcote formula was changed and now it dries tacky on painted dwarenite and is also satin.

I moved on to Winsor and Newton Matte Spray and it feels dry at first but turns tacky within 24 hours.

I tried using other matte sprays (not all of which are matte most are satin) followed by W&N and still dried tacky.

I have also tried brush on Liquitex Matte, followed by W&N but the results were mixed.

Can peeps please suggest some alternatives?
