With the way DF is heading there seems to be more and more fiddly bits to store. Because I can no longer get any of the dividers I used in the past for my IRIS Scrapbook containers. I use these now.
Whut?! Are they discontinued? I have a few, but probably need 2-3 more for all the bits and bobs...

You're talking about this one, right?

Yes that is the one. I also can not find them so if you do let us know. I have about 6 of them still unused but I am holding them off to the side for special more delicate stuff to store (led stuff for the most part)

They have been discontinued for what? Two years now? I sent them an email asking them to reconsider. No response.
Well, crap. Better try to scrounge a few up before they all disappear.
If you find any let me know... i have been looking but my web search ninja skills are not up to the task.

I use Sterilite Modular Latch Boxes that they sell at Walmart for just about everything, and they work well for DF stuff too. They come in about 6 sizes that all stack pretty well between the sizes, are fairly sturdy and cheap, and the smaller ones fit nicely into the cube organizers you can also buy at Walmart in various sizes (e.g. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes ... /224922638).

So for example, for about $300 you can buy the 4x4 cube and a mix of 15x11x3, 15x11x6, and 11x7x3 bins to fill it up. Each cube holds 4 of the first size so if you only bought that one size it would be 64 total 15x11x3 bins in there. If you buy the bigger bins (24x15x12 and 24x15x6) then you can sit them on top of the cubes, or in a closet elsewhere.

Except for a few pieces, KSIV was amazingly easy to store for me.

Pretty sure you could have fitted more than one piece in those boxes ub.

Thanks for the heads up ub we are always on the look out for better ways to store terrain and minis.

We still find Really Useful Boxes really useful for storing Dwarvenite and the myriad of other terrain and minis we have hoarded over the years.

But as the pieces get more elaborate, storing efficiency drops.

Our OCD means we must stack and store tetris style, cramming as much in as possible. Our last build we used a lot of mountains and not looking forward to trying to get all the pieces back in those boxes.

You also cannot just go for bigger boxes because dwarvenite is quite heavy on the quiet ;)

We do have a bunch of half sized filing cabinets which are great for castles, especially the walls and towers

One curse of DF is indeed fiddly bits. Looks like a good solution for randomly sized pieces.
