Nice sleuthing Dinah :)

Cheap elevation and storage, if only DF thought of that ;)

So when does the IKEA restraining order get lifted ?

In other news - UK IKEA does not stock GRÅSIDAN and the TJENA has bigger dimensions :(

That's a nice build there too! This definitely does make it easier for me. I likely will still add some elevation pieces but that does make it easier to branch out a bit more with other stuff.
1. Go to Home Depot. 2. Buy 2" thick insulation. 3. Buy a HotWire Foam Factory jig table
4. Cut the 4x8' pieces in to 4"x4" / 8"x4" / 12"x4" / 8"x12" and some 1'x1', 1'x2' and 2'x2' pieces. Some other sizes as you wish. Store. These will raise your DwF to just about the right height. If you don't want to buy the jig table, you can get one of their hot knoives and to it by hand...less accurate, but thyes are rise blocks. Cheaper than the really cool blocks from Japan, but not nearly as precise.

"But, Dinah," I hear you cry, "where will I store all these pieces?"

;) That's the life changing magic of tidying up... Flip them over and Konmari your drawers!

Now doesn't a stealth roll like that spark joy?

:D

My local Ikea has 109 of the Grasidan. I'm off today - with a tile wall...thank you, Dinah!

Hooray! Good hunting to you! :)

Take a look also at the Kuggis box insert, which is a nice tray for feature pieces, I find. It's just the right size to slide inside a Besta cabinet. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kuggis-ins ... -00280208/

I did get like twenty sets of the black paper boxes. They are not quite matching the DwF in height, but do fit length and width. I decided to keep them anyway b/c they can do all sorts of weird terrain shapes which can be topped/fronted with DwF or other. And I can spray paint them different colors easily. Thanks![/b]

Update: Ikea's 'Tjena' and 'Grasidan' Elevation Pieces

I did get like fifteen sets of the black paper boxes. They are not quite matching the DwF in height, but do fit length and width. I decided to keep them anyway b/c they can do all sorts of weird terrain shapes which can be topped/fronted with DwF or other. And I can spray paint them different colors easily. Thanks!

17Ag20 Update: Found the Grasidan boxes in stock (finally) at Ikea. Got three sets, all they had. They are GREAT! Note: The smallest box from the Tjena sit is an exact height match for Grasidan and DwF pieces, so I ripped all the smallest boxes out of the Tjena set and put 'em with Grasidan. Together you can to so some interesting things. My Tjena were 60% off so ifthey don't quite work perfectly I can live with it. Note, the Tjena (as I think shown above) when laid sideways rather than vertically are exactly one wall height plus one floor height.

Shopping hint: If your clerk looks for 'Grasidan' she may not find it...be sure to mention that there is a 'little circle' over the first 'a' in Grasidan. It did not come up for me until we did that...my clerk knew to ask![/b]
