Re: Compatibility with Resin Hellscape

To expand on what I think: I have multiples of Woodlands, Catacombs, RotA, DoE, Medieval, I got none of resin Hellscape, because I did not like those. The new Hellscape is far more beautiful than the old resin one imho. I also don’t think that, to mantain compatibility with a set that came out ages ...

Re: Compatibility with Resin Hellscape

The whole compatibility issue is like expecting the new auto fender to match the powder blue 1968 FJ40 Fender that has been in the sun and rain for 49 years. Of course you need to repaint it :!: :!: :!: Well, except for the fact that you don’t play lego putting together 50 new cars and 80 old ones ...

Re: Am I the only person that wants a Regular paint scheme?

I am there too. In KS6, I got some Crystal, some Underdoom, some Ice Catacombs, all in Standard Cavern Paint, since that way I will be able to use everything together. I got the Driftones Pack unpainted, because they were not available in normal cavern color. Mind it, I appreciate the fact that othe...

Re: can't afford these anymore.

Btw, did they put out a painting guide for KS6 caverns that you know of?

Just to check if I just missed it.

Re: can't afford these anymore.

The factory was not happy with us for the multiple paint schemes in Caverns Deep. They are trying to discourage us from doing it by charging a higher cost for the alternate schemes unless the order is really large. We want to give you what you're asking for, but it comes at a price. Thank you for t...

Re: can't afford these anymore.

Standard usually is around 40% more. Like banks in KS6: 25 -> 37. Since Nate explained "this time painted will cost more, because it is harder and more work painting over translucent pieces with precision, it's not just drybrushing", I think the question "why cavern color also costs m...

Re: can't afford these anymore.

What I meant was: cavern color pieces will be cast in grey, so no need for any special tretament or priming, hence I don't see why painted costs so much more.

Re: can't afford these anymore.

Painted cost more because painting the orange black before it is dry brushed will be an extra step may be two. If it needs to be masked that is two more steps. I think $60 would be fair.
Tobi answered in the update's comments that cavern colored pieces will be cast in dungeon grey.

Re: can't afford these anymore.

Something I don't like instead is the pricing for painted banks - cavern color. Why is painted double the cost of unpainted? I do get that with hellscape pieces it's not as simple a job as plain caverns, since the base is translucent, and it needs more work. But for the cavern color? Banks in KS6 we...

Re: Compatibility with Resin Hellscape

Hey, they showed the compatibility in the livestream, I think they will post some pictures somewhere. The color is actually pretty different; the resin ones, had the "solid" parts greyish, while these are nearly black. They would better work as different (though connected) rooms, since imh...
