Re: OK, I admit it -- I'm confused

I will join the confused party🤯
This is (potentially) my sixth DF KS and it is the most confusing to me.

Others have elaborated already, but a KS needs to be easy to grasp. This one, for me, is a very confusing KS

Re: Hellgate portcullis fit issue

Yeah, I have both the gatehouse and the hellgate and it is disappointing they didn’t fix the issues in the hellgate.
This could have been gatehouse 2.0 but sadly it ain’t - even though I love its looks.

Re: Constructive review of some "oddly" designed packs (Help Please)

The faerie glade is a tree pack, it doesn’t need the shimmerfrond, which is better placed in the faerie plants pack (where it is already).

Re: Yet another SG idea

Stretch goals that add new and cool pieces are definitely not free However, stretch goals that add more of the same, are a different story. Let’s assume you are a board game maker. Numbers are realistic from my friend who publishes board games. Model A you go to retail, and you can self finance 2000...

Re: Standard Dwarvenite Unit - (Crazy?) suggestion

RE - Recurring cost. In other word the cost to produce a single unit that you have pay every time you make it. NRE - Non recurring. This includes both the creator time and the cost for machines/molds etc. You pay it regardless if you produce a single unit or a million. So for a book (simplifying), t...

Re: Standard Dwarvenite Unit - (Crazy?) suggestion

Just another point to think about. Visit this page: https://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products Look at the D&D book catalogue, what are the prices for the hardcovers? All D&D Hardcover books have the same exact price: 49.95$ Regardless if it is the PHB which sell millions o...

Re: Standard Dwarvenite Unit - (Crazy?) suggestion

Hi, First I'm glad to see all the awesome responses. You make me think, and it appears I'm not completely crazy. I will say I have no knowledge of DF inner workings, so everything I wrote is just speculation based on my experience in other manufacturing fields which are far away from DF (I did publi...

Standard Dwarvenite Unit - (Crazy?) suggestion

I'm an engineer who also dwells in production/manufacturing from time to time. While I really like DF as a company and a product, it feels to me that it's production design and processes can be improved (maybe hire a production eng. 8-) ). This post is inspired by three factors: A) The feeling that ...

Re-arrange subforums

I just looked at the main forum index and it looks like a jungle. So many sub forums so it is impossible to know where exactly to post. It will be great if you can merge some of those forums - especially stuff like pre-Kickstarter discussion and Kickstarter discussion. The same for separate forums f...

Re: Stretch goals - a response from Nate

I agree, Also, increase the initial funding goal to realistic number. 100K$ is just an artificial number which is not realistic. It also creates more work getting the graphics update and missing pieces for those initial s.g. Just Put an initial 750K$ or even 1 million. DF will still get to it within...
