As a KS2 owner, I'd say I'm most excited about all the passage pieces and the convex/concave corners to break up the blockiness.

I feel lucky, like I passed my saving throw, because I'm only really interested in standard core cavern pieces (encounters 1-11 style). I think I can do without Ice, Crystal, Underdark, and Forests.

Smooth "open water" tiles that match the Trifecta walls wouldn't work because the real water tiles have that "scum" floating in the water, right off the shoreline. You wouldn't want very blocky breaks in those patterns in the water surface, as you alternated styles.

I went in big with "10 sets" for KS2.

My theory now is just to buy Add-ons to augment that set. Avoid Encounters. Get a few new swells, corners, passages, etc for variety. Unfortunately, I still think it's going to end up crazy expensive, just trying to do that.

Maybe you weren't around for KS2 and would like to get some of those old sculpts of mushrooms, and stalagmites? Maybe you bought a metric ton of KS2 and now with the variety of KS6 you realize you don't need 90 pieces of of 'Straight Wall A' or 80 pieces of 'Curved Corner A'? I'm sure there are deal...

Definitely disappointed if they aren't doing water tiles.
I'm not going to use the water terrain trays.

I'll still use some ledges and banks maybe for chasms and such.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of KS2 style water tiles. Encounter 8 has a "Transition to KS2 Water" piece. I imagine there will be a KS2 Water type pieces in maybe Encounter 15, for a "big reveal". I'm kind of disappointed that it looks like all pieces come with magnet...
