Re: Grid or gridless. Opinions!

I pretty much only use DF for RPGs. As such, grids generally help me -- at least for those areas characters are likely to walk on. I personally don't think this detracts too much from the aesthetic, especially for land areas. That said, I love TTs and have several of them, but have not bought any of...

Re: KS8 (or 9) - Cities expansion - what would you do?

My thoughts in no particular order: 1. I think that there's plenty of room for both sculpted streets/roads and terrain tray/battleboard/texture mat versions of them. The former are great for people who want to try to get the most realistic version possible, while the latter is great for those on a b...

Re: Small HS pieces painted all black?

So Rhizom, they are made in translucent yellow and then covered over in black paint. That is the frustrating part. I guess I missed where they would be all black when painted. At this point it would be "easier" to try and strip all of it off and then redo it. My guess would be that this made for a ...

Re: How many waterfalls are you getting?

Debating. Sooooo many good choices, soooo little money. :(

I will almost certainly get at least 1 though. If I get two sets, then I will only be able to get a little bit more of the other stuff unfortunately.

Re: Wildlands Postmortem

My thoughts in no particular order: 1). I'll echo the sentiment about needing something that shows the footprint of the pieces in an easy to find manner. Many of the images for the add-ons/pledges show X number of piece Y but no information on the size of piece Y. This makes it hard to tell a) how m...

And unlike those costly Latte's, etc. you will have those Dwarvenite goodies for a LOOOONG time.
Hmm, looking at my waist, I can tell ya, those latte's stick around for quite a while.

Re: Minimum Purchase for Waterfall Build

I would likely upgrade to the deluxe pack. As for the escaprments, you can probably get by with just one or the other, but the question is, do you want some variety? Similarly, adding in some banks can give you more variety as well. But, then you are also getting beyond the bare minimum. The questio...

Re: Not that they need my help

I hear ya Mobius. In many respects, the price of any amount of Dwarven Forge is pretty insane when you consider a wet erase mat and a pack of Vis-A-Vis is more than "sufficient". I admired DF from afar for a long time while Mrs. Gargs and I were young and starting out on our careers, focusing on buy...

Re: Not that they need my help

I agree with Rabbit Burner that it absolutely, 100%, makes sense for people to voice their opinion. The more DF knows, the more they readily they can make decisions that are more profitable for the company. I also agree that currently, the massive all-in pledge tier seems to be working for DF (even ...

Re: ALERT - Breakable KEy Part

I would like to interject, if it's a clear translucent (see through) resin piece I would not score the breaks. If it's opaque then it would be cool. Not having it, I don't know what it's made of. I hope it gets here someday soon. I only got 8 things from 6.66 and the resin pieces were two of them. ...
