Re: 4x4 Convex mod OR need 2x2 Convex

There is versatility, and there is speed. Laying down fewer, larger tiles is always faster, and has less seams and gaps in the build. Smaller pieces are always more versatile, but take more time to assemble and have many more noticeable seams. You have to use the larger pieces where you can and they...

Re: Resin Pieces Speculation

Resin fiddly bits can break, I have had a few thin pieces do it. For large pieces like my caverns and dungeons, that stuff has never so much as chipped, and many if my pieces are 2004 vintage.

Re: Hellscape - How Much Is Enough?

I think the third circle pledge has everything you'd need for a large single magma environment, or a few smaller ones. It's only enough for a campaign in Hell if you have time to reconfigure between sessions. To me that is a perfect amount, I usually do single environments with my builds.

Re: Magma River Mega Pack!!!

I'm always on the hunt for high quality minis to use in my games. If DF can make good minis without sacrificing the terrain offerings, bring it!

Re: Magma River Mega Pack!!!

Dwarven Forge has not made mega packs "worth it" ever. Usually you end up with some marginal return on your investment of like 5% (one free piece, maybe only half a free piece) but you have to give up picking and choosing what is most important to you to get it. The Throne Room/Emporer packs from D...

Re: DF Please Read: Alternate Encounter 3 Negative Space

Rhizom, thanks for doing some legwork. Comments: A: I'd be okay with it just being open. I have KS2 lava arches already, but if not open looks good. B: I always assumed we'd keep the magma fall and use a transition piece with it. To me those are not tiles, but more "accessory" pieces. C: the layout ...

Talistran, it sounds like we're mostly in the same page. I want all the negative space builders to be happy, and all the tile builders to be happy. I think you want the same.

Dwarven Forge tiles are not as versatile as a battlemap and a grease pencil...
Well, that's true. I think we can all stipulate that we like the idea of some form of DF terrain. :D
