Re: Frozen in Time
Yeah, for all their fiddliness, DF castles give you a lot of visual bang for the buck. Although I look forward to filling my table with that Frozen in Time build, the cost to do so will have been a lot and I already know it won't look nearly as impressive as Rabbit's Harlech or even this: http://i.i...

Re: Starforged Postmortem
I thought this was the best run and easiest to understand DF campaign yet. The caches were sensible combinations of pieces, rather than random assortments (which is what some of the CULT treasure chests seemed to be). Yes, they are small, but they are a free bonus for pre-ordering instead of waiting...

Re: Transitioning from one terrain to another
Search also for "ledges." Ledges can do the same thing as banks, just with a sharp edge instead of smooth slope.

Re: Galladoria KS
Based on their progress so far (212 orders shipped since June, 103 orders remaining), it might be another ~4.5 months before everybody gets everything. That estimate might be optimistic, because the remaining orders are painted. Not complaining, just trying to manage my expectations.

Frozen in Time
I'm basing my pledge on how much Starforged I would need to build the map from Goodman Games' DCC module Frozen in Time. Here's a rough adaption of that map I sketched using Excel. 1 square = 5 feet. Frozen in Time.jpg Built as laid out above, I estimate this map requires: 52 Diagonal Walls 14 Corne...

Re: Spreadsheet
The MyComps page doesn't seem to work if used with pledges in the Gamma-P, Gamma-U, Delta-P, or Delta-U columns. I think the error might be that some of the IF statements (highlighted in the example below) are looking at the wrong columns? =IF(MyComps!D$9=MyPieces!$D$9,MyPieces!$D5, IF(MyComps!D$9=M...

Re: Opening the Gates
Next session, the players will need to battle a former ally, now turned Deep One Hybrid. She's casting spells from atop a lighthouse. http://i.imgur.com/ZyjOg9g.jpg The trick of this build is that I 3d printed an adapter piece to connect the city roof to the castle tower. It's not fancy, with matchi...

Here, the party had to descend a sinkhole to retrieve a magic book... http://i.imgur.com/gccZ5LN.jpg The book is in a pit of lava guarded by some creatures. It's not immediately obvious, but the entire floor of this chamber has light panels beneath it. It's not just one under the circular pool. http...

Re: Interest in Sci-fi accessories?
One thing I always keep my eyes open for is translucent pieces. Things I can not replicate with painting. Like those Bacta tanks. You might like these, then: https://deathraydesigns.com/product/cryo-tank-3-pack/ I have some. The clear part (it's really just a sample jar) screws off so you can put m...
