Re: Wildlands pledging and total spending

I am waiting to see what is in the KS. The teaser photos have not stirred much enthusiasm so far. I imagine I will buy a couple of trees some more banks, cliff/ embankments, and maybe the waterfall. I am really waiting for a enough of a DH restock to finish those needs versus waiting 12+ months for ...

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

Is it just me or did they somehow make that more expensive than DF? $250 for https://icv2.com/images/articles/1500x1500_2e76185514c3eff445f6e54b7816f4c6ab6681f53833b3b2aedb2773.jpg Or $286 for an additional floor. I'm assuming painted prices. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0644/2359/products/SG-...

Re: KS7 Wildlands IMAGES COMPILED

I also have predominantly used DF in wargaming mode. To me a great wargaming table starts with a high quality game mat with elevation created with objects placed under the mat. Then the trees, shrubs, walls, roads, buildings, and terrain features. Last goes various types of scatter materials to tie ...

Re: KS7 Wildlands IMAGES COMPILED

It will be interesting to see the pricing on the ruins. Reaper did a bones Mystic Circle a couple of years back that goes for around $30. I find I am more and more price driven as I have filled up the storage capacity of my game studio and am mostly looking for tasty tidbits to tuck in here and there.

Re: Most wanted piece?

A waterfall would be cool if not too pricey. More trees if they are not too arcane, but mostly banks for cliff to game mat transitions and rocky cliffs / embankments. Not anticipating spending much this go, unless there is some very cool surprise.

Mostly waiting for more Dreadhollow in the store.

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

Skinny interior walls, when seen live, lookd a little weird to me. TLW But they look like real buildings... Maybe, but looked weird to me. And interior walls on those metal flat pins are wobbly (or were on the demo set I got to play with) TLW I have not a seen them in person, just admiring them fro...

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

Oh dear, those full height sets look GREAT! DF better get on the stick with CBS Phase II. I love the skinny interior walls. I guess that is how they build castles in some of the background photos.

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

These WizKids dungeons are just aimed at a different market segment than DF. Just looking at the number of KS backers for the Dragonlock offerings, the number of consistent backers for lockable dungeons is on par with DF. Without any market data on this new stuff I don't think we can make any assump...

Re: Info on Possible PRC Impacts on KS7

If the PRC / US relationship descends further KS for toys may be the least of our worries. That said, I doubt most $1000 backers would spend that much again on a DF project unless some sort of provisions were made to offset the consumer's loss. Making injected molded items in the US or PRC could cos...
