Re: One of the elephants… DF CBS blockiness

Having more CBS on hand now, Mrs. GG has come around to DF buildings and eagerly awaits KS8. One of us! One of us! ;) I'm excited, too. As much as I love KSIII, I also recognize that I'd hit a bit of a wall with it. That's partly because I've already worked through a ton of options and spent a ton ...

Re: KS 7 - Include A Much Needed "Wood Grain Set" Who Is With Me?!

Please do not tell me we are all moving to 5mm unpainted minis  This would be the absolute greatest April Fool's Day Prank of all time. DF announces a set that's going to include a massive water tile expansion pack, new compatible grids for above-ground and below-ground terrain, a return of ...

Re: What Can DF Do to Make You Spend More In KS8?

I have also come to conclude that fans, understandably, tend to overestimate (or, more accurately, over-emphasize) the disadvantages of "opportunity costs" or "lost potential" or whatever you want to call it when you sell through on 10,000 units but might have sold 100,000 units....

Re: Bean bucket

I've picked up a few things from WK 4-D tiles or whatever they're calling the line, nothing from the core building sets but some of the accessories (like farmland and homestead type stuff). So far, I've limited what I get, simply because I decided a decade ago that since 28mm terrain is literally li...

interesting! Not being an ROW customer, I've never paid much attention, but I have heard people make the observation that things are shipping to the US for distribution back to ROW, which DOES make little sense. I could believe it was true, but it made little sense! ;)

I don't know, it depends on whether or not Dwarven Fudge is compatible with the previously released DF peanut chews.

Re: Do you want to see most of KS8 on the first day, or a slow reveal, or what?

I would love to hear that DF had figured out a way to make production economically viable and was moving sourcing to a 1st world country (in the original sense) that was dedicated to the ideals of a Western democracy. That said, very few goods are now available from those sources with the exception...

Re: What Can DF Do to Make You Spend More In KS8?

I'd be surprised to see alt paint schemes, as DF has expressly revealed that the alt paint schemes were partly responsible for headaches and delays with KS6. It was just too much. Still, doesn't mean a compromise approach couldn't work. IIRC, there were a LOT of alt paint schemes in KS6 -- regular ...

Re: What minis would you like to see?

I do love the Agricola poses, that was a huge draw to me. They were perfect for farming peasants, with the little chickens being fed and the pumpkins being carried. Ideal. Normally, I do like neutrally posed figures, since I use my minis for DF and I need them to work in a variety of layouts. Some p...

Re: Scorched Earth...

My issue with Hellscape is how rarely it'll be used, much like the specialized minis. Again, if you've already got dungeons, caverns, cities, and castles, then I suppose why not. But it feel like the lowest priority of all the sets. I would probably want to have Erinthor x2 and Dreadhollow before c...
