I would really like to see a cliff edge, (a thin, partial and irregular, straight cavern floor piece).

This piece could be used for the creation of both irregular cave ledges and large chasms.

I'd love to see a long, narrow cavernous bridge--somewhat reminiscent of the Bridge of Khazadum. It would start out low and rise to a slight curve in the center. That would rock. (no pun intended)

Edit: O.k.--that's not *really* the "one" special piece I'd like to see them make but it would be awesome anyway. I'll give it some more thought and think of what my "special" piece would be.

There is one other piece I would really like to see made -(if at all possible).

A small/med-sized drawbridge (with a moving/opening bridge section).
I'm not thinking of a huge, outer-wall castle-like one, just one wide enough to fit a standard/(wide) passage and long/tall enough (3.5") to cover a meaningful gap/distance.

I can see so many uses for this/these. They could be used for defensive/fortification setups and as obstacles/barriers to those who haven't solved the puzzle, spoken the word or produced the proper key to move on.

Wow I can think of so many things I would like to see done. One thing that I have always wanted was for there to be water basins (spelling?) I would love to split up rooms not only with walls but with half hight basins of water. I guess it would have to be two peices one long one and one to cap it off but i think this would just rock.

Hi -

Two part answer here :

1) For Environment : Double Wide Dwarven Rune Door

2) For Item : A Grand Throne

and, in general, Double Height Walls for any of the environments. Hey, they went wider with the original 2" modules, why not taller to create grand spaces ?

I would most like to see a large passage wide round roll-out door. IE. a large round frame with a thick cicular door that can roll in and out of the frame with a dwarven "heavy" look. If you have seen Dungeon Keeper II you''ll know what I am trying to describe.

I have some homemade dungeon pieces with 3" walls....they just loom over the adventurers...real claustrophobic feeling.

One?
Are you kidding?
There is not any one at the top.

All of the needed pieces for Science Fiction Master Maze;
the waterfall and other pieces for Cavern Master Maze;
and the reintroduction of Narrows to Fantasy.

All of that, in that order, are items I would like to see for Master Maze.

One item?

DOUBLE DOORS, spooky doors, wizard locked doors, wall of force doors, super cool doors, uber dungeon of death doors, more doors!!!

Double Archway, spooky archway, wall of force archway, disentigrate the whole party archway, super cool archway, uber dungeon of death archway, all of these should fit in a standard door gap (except for the double archway) rather than be part of a three peice like the green archway.

For myself, there's really almost nothing I really want to see. There are some things that would be neat, but I don't have anything that belongs on a "How have they not made THIS yet?!?!" list.

However, for the sake of others, there are some clear choices:

1. SF furnishings, and at least one other SF building set of some kind. I think furnishings are the most important, but one other building set might be enough for now to wrap up SF's basic building needs. Then furnishings/accessories alone might be all that is needed for several sets. (This is because I think the most flexible route would be to build everything with the same basic sets, then turn them into appropriate locales with furnishings -- having locale-specific building sets, though occasionally unavoidable, reduces the flexibility of the set so much that it compromises the advantages one normally associates with DF's model) Still, at least one building set with a radically different "look" would do a great deal to expand the SF line. I'd let SF fans decide amongst themselves what is most needed -- dirty, rusty, complex mining/depot/etc. stuff, or catwalky stuff, or cybergoth cathedral stuff, or alien world stuff, etc. But something to add variety in the same way the fantasy fans can choose dungeon or cavern.

2. Water expansion set. More than anything else, the water stuff needs a few pieces to feel really "complete." That reverse corner, single-dot-of-land water piece, a few extra all-water pieces, a waterfall -- there's a lot. Certainly more "dot-of-land" pieces give the lake set a lot more oomph, so this ranks high.

3. DoE expansion. The DoE is kinda bare, and doesn't seem to get the attention the water and MBS sets are getting -- perhaps it, like SF, needs some "stuff" to place in order to give it a real kick.

4. Sewers and Stadium. These seem to win out for the number two slot of "most eagerly anticipated" after the tavern/inn/MBS stuff.

For me, though, after getting the water sets and anticipating the MBS, that really just about does it for me. I feel like I've got a pretty complete collection now, not much I want to do that I can't. Certainly not much I can afford to spend, or to store. I mean, I'd love to see wilderness terrain, and complete whole buildings, and a ton of stuff -- but I can't afford it, can't store it, and I'm not sure it'd be a good business move. So I feel pretty much done. But the stuff I've listed here seems like it's definitely the place DF needs to turn next...
