That finished set looks stunning. You should be proud of that and your accessories.

Super awesome rusted door - i may have to try that with one. Great job on all the stuff but the door is a standout. One of my few complaints with the entire line was that the steel doors looked too nice - you fixed that perfectly!

OK, so based on everyone's feedback, I have finished painting my first of 17 Kickstarter sets (not counting Add-ons), and I used paint scheme number 2. I was getting frustrated because even though I was painting them the exact same way, they all came out significantly different. When I put them together though, I was astonished at how good they look together. All feedback welcome.

This paintjob looks awesome! Can you please tell us which paints you used and which steps you used?

I'm guessing a tan basecoat, with darker hilights, and then finalized with a drybush in something lighter-tan?

Thanks much!

Would you mind detailing how you did #2?

Mostly, I just followed the painting tutorial video, but I completely left out the Base Grey. Instead, I used the Olive Drybush to do the "wet brushing" as Stefan called it. I did almost complete coverage, but left some of the dark places showing through.

Then I did the select stones with Earth Stone.

Next, I did the Stone Edge drybush next, but it wasn't quite right, so I did very light feathering of Olive Drybrush until I got the look I wanted.

Next time, I would do the feathering of Olive Drybrush before the Stone Edge. It really only applies the Earth Stones anyway.

I think this is how he did it.
