Recordable Voice Module for Greeting Cards 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Anyone ever try using a recordable voice module used in greeting cards for ambient sounds such as dragon roars or dwarven chanting and hammering? I'm very interested in seeing how well it could work, esp. with a dragon as (the Reaper ones I have) should all be or are on bases already.

I'm going to try it out to see if a dragon's roar sounds any good... or even a dragon speaking (inspiration from Smaug in the new Hobbit movie).

Here's an ebay search I found that brings up some for a decent price to experiment with: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/recordable-sound-module

I'm not sure if this was part of your intent, but you've now got me thinking about embedding small speakers into scenery and larger models for highly localized sound effects during a scene... perhaps some research will occur after tomorrow's final exam.

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...
