TOPIC: Confession of a long-time fan

Re:Confession of a long-time fan 7 Months, 1 Week ago
It's Law's cavern pics that really made up my mind to go as far as I did with KS2. Those are my favorite sets and I love looking at Law's pics of them. That said, have a bunch of the resin sets already but not as much of what I would like. I couldn't really figure out how to store additional resin sets though. But Dwarenite....that is easy storage, just dump it into a box.
So kudos to Stefan for allowing Law that opportunity.

I am the other way, I backed this KS because I see it as a stop gap until the resin gets reordered, I prefer resin and will place a huge order if and when they restock the cavern stuff.

I bought three sets of resin pillars, but I cannot see myself getting more. I like the indestructability of dwarvenite too much, and I think side by side the dwarvenite holds its own. Of course it lacks in variety thus far.

No worries. We're all fans of certain things.

I have perhaps a dozen resin sets, and did the double-set basic pledge for the first Kickstarter (as I simply needed some "basic" dungeon materials, as I had too many "special" sets and not enough basic rooms). It worked a treat and I really like the Dwarvenite stuff.

However, like you, I have three cavern sets of the resin stuff and didn't find anything in the second kickstarter irresistible so I didn't buy in. Doesn't mean I'm not a DF fan. I wouldn't own $1500+ worth if I wasn't. I understand a lot of people who have the money will buy anything from a manufacturer they like simply to support them. I'm no longer in a position to do that.

Stefan is well aware of his target audience. I'll definitely try to pick up some more various sets of DF stuff in the future. The second KS was a good success and many folks will be chuffed to bits with their pledges.

No need to apologize!

I know the feeling only too well Elbows. But I still wanted more Cavern sets so I went for 5 sets with help of my gaming group.

Resin Cavern Set 2 sometime in 2015 certainly has my attention! No lack of love on my part.

It has my attention also. I would show it more love if we had some more details.

Resin Caverns 2 has my attention as well! Not just because the set itself would probably interest me, but because it might mean a restock of related sets. I just managed to get a Cavernous Passage set, and I already want one or two more. I especially want more of the fancy T intersection (the one that just went out of stock a week or two ago).

So count me as a vote for more Resin Caverns, both new sets and old!

The Resin restock is coming and If it does well, which I think it will, we will make more Resin products...they will lean towards more complex things, specialty things that probably would only sell in small quantities, hundreds rather than thousands...

I didn't back either for exactly the same reasons as Law.
I own 30+ of the various cavern sets so really don't need more.

I do intend to buy the Catacombs II set and the sewers when they come out.

I just got my first Resin sets two days ago. Along with the Cavernous Passages I got the River and Wall set, the Ogres Den, and the Den of Evil R&P set. I thought I was addicted to DF before this, just from using my Game TIles. I was wrong. When the restock comes, I'll be buying as much as I can squeeze out of my wallet. :P

So yeah, I also think the restock will sell well. And I'm really looking forward to new sets.

Oh, and I want a restock of the DoE Room Set. I need more floors and walls. :P
