TOPIC: Question about KS1 Tiles

Question about KS1 Tiles 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
With the advent of KS2, I've begun painting my KS1 tiles and giving them a close examination.

I have a couple questions:

1. I'm curious about the decision to sculpt cinder blocks on the walls and corners, rather than flagstone. The blocks simply aren't as attractive as the flagstone in the resin sets. It can't be a question of accommodating the detail, so it left me wondering why?

2. Speaking of flagstone and cinder blocks, why do the pieces with stairs have flagstones but not the walls? It seems a curious decision. It looks like the work of two different sculptors to be honest.

Thanks.

The first kickstarter grew so fast they were looking for stretch goals and "borrowed" from existing pieces. :) I don't think Jeff or Stefan had any idea they would be at $1.9 million by the end.

"The blocks simply aren't as attractive as the flagstone in the resin sets."

That's a matter of opinion. I personally like the blocks better, and feel they can better accommodate a build representing both a dungeon or a castle wall.
