My tiles also only seemed to receive a single dry brush layer. This is most obvious on the tiles that received the lightest drybrushing, where you can clearly see all the "dungeon gray" material showing through, with only a touch of what was supposed to be the top dry brush of a 3 step process. I'm one of those who was disappointed with the overall look of the tiles, and I'm leaning towards a repaint from scratch. The tiles themselves are great, though, and I'll just get unpainted sets going forward.

As Stefan says, for the extra we paid for painting, you can't really expect much better than what we got. That said, I wish I'd known how the actual tiles would look before I had to make a call on whether to buy them painted or not (I love the gray/olive green stone look of the mastermaze sets, and was hoping for something closer to that).

Another thing I notice was that a treasure pile came with the Dungeon Dressing pack that was not listed on the Kick Starter.

So if you have an additional treasure pile that may be the reason.

In the end it is a moot point - the tiles are awesome and i am having fun building stuff with them.

I personally like the variety in the paint schemes. It will let me give more variety to my constructs on a room-by-room basis. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a variation of the pattern of the painted blocks on the wall pieces. I'm seeing about 3 different varieties evenly distributed. I also see (and like) noticeable variations on the placement of the final dry bush highlights across all pieces. No two doors, for example, look identical, and I'm loving it.
