First time painting anything for gaming 1 Year ago
This is the first time I have ever painted anything for any game. (other than just spraying a mini grey) I would like to show what I have done following Stefan's video. They are in order from base grey to stone edge.

I also have made a 'mod' to 2 of the wall tiles. They are the last picture, added some flocking to give it a moldy look.

Those look great. I like the addition of the lichen and the dirt.

Pretty freakin awesome I'd say, and gives this non-painter hope for my own sets.

Also, I'd say they look a bit better than the pre-painted ones from China. Love the flocking and dirt!

Your first picture made it look to me like you used too much grey paint. I think the lighting almost made it look like it was globbed on there. After seeing the last photo, I think it looks great and I hope mine turn out as good.

For your first time, I think you did REALLY well with these, and the flocking addition was a great touch - I may need to do that with some of mine...

I also have to say, it really interesting how much the Stone Edge color "dulls down" that "olive."

Great job!

I was concerned looking at the first two pictures. But the pieces look great in pictures 3 and 4. I am glad you posted this as I may have stopped painting after the first coat not realizing what the end result looks like afterwards.

And chance it is the lighting? Have other pics of the first step under diff lighting?

Thanks for posting, it helps other new painters.

The last picture was taken at home, under better lighting. The others were taken at my work place, some with flash. I thought the stone edge came out a little light and I was a little heavy handed with the initial layers. As for the flocking, I'm only doing about 10% of the pieces so that its not overwhelming.
