TOPIC: Weaver's Feedback

Weaver's Feedback 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Just opened my first bock of DF Game Tiles.
Really, I find it difficult to call them "game tiles." They aren't flat tiles and they seem much more that "game pieces." Dungeon Building Blocks perhaps? Nah; that isn't right either.

Okay...

The first piece I pulled out was a table.
The table is warped (outside edges of the table (length-wise) are warped upwards) but serviceable.

The benches are warped in the same manner.

The looks? AWESOME. Great job!!!

Happy with purchase? YES

For me, the all steel or metal door is way too shiny for a dungeon. I thought it was a Sci-Fi piece at first!

Treasures Chests, doors, chairs, all look great.
The secret door is awesome.
It was neat to discover that each door has a "door stop" built in at one of the upper corners. It's nice to know that these doors will open one way just like doors of the era.

The portcullis looks great.
Same with the other various doors, beds, barrels, etc..

Overall -> Fantastic

Customer -> Happy

Now... on to the big boxes!

Cood be my color-bliindness, but did the painters forget to paint
the pull rings and keyholes with some metallic color on the standard doors?

The regular room pieces are just as expected. Very decent overall.
I am happy to have a product that can I can let my children play with and not have to worry about the pieces being scratched or broken.

I miss the felt on the bottom. Without that, I'm a little concerned about a table being scratched up. However, if these are "rubber," it probably won't be an issue.

------------------

Oh my goodness! One box without the "Thank You" paper! just teasing guys... it wasn't there, but wasn't needed with every box... perhaps just one per order?

------------------------

Save money - can we do without the plastic covers for every piece? If so, save some money and get rid of them.

-------------

a few doors rub on the bottom or side
however, I don't expect that to ruin the pieces.
Really, it might add some authenticity as you'd eventually see groves in the stone from a swelling door grating against it use after use.

---------------

It's great to have the walls with arrow slits and windows.

It is difficult to imagine that I could have so many sets in such a small amount of space.

Thanks to those persons who have been sharing storage ideas.

I'm very glad to have something I can toss in a bin and not worry about scratching.

I LOVE the original Master Maze - now and always - but appreciate the price and usability of the new sets.

Good job, Stefan and Jeff.

Can we add a link to the Map Maker off the main DF Products page where it shows two lists, one for Game Tiles and its sub-categories and one for Master Maze and its sub-categories?

Might be a good sales item too. Let people easily find the map maker and play with it before purchasing.

Can't wait for the next DF Kickstarter!
(well, I could use some advance notice so as to save some CASH!)

forgot go report...

the 4x6 tiles are warped and don't sit flat. At least one corner curves upwards.
As far as my large order is concerned, not a deal killer.
However, an individual purchasing a small lot may find themselves a bit more put off by the issue.

I would love to see varying styles of the 4x6 tiles (or 6x6).
New patterns and colors.

Once the Weavers have some down time (yeah, right!) I'll work with the kids to build something huge and post some pics. Sounds like tons of fun!

Thanks for posting. I like the detail of your comments.
Are you going to attempt straightening out the turned up corners?
