Another Lucky West Coast Resident 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
So, hello everybody! Glad to become a part of this community. Three members of my game group and I went in on the Kickstarter for a total of five sets, then I added on one each of the extra packs as they became available. I'll hold onto two of the sets plus the extra packs, so that's what I unboxed.

Boxes showed up at my house yesterday, and I still have yet to receive a shipping confirmation.

Initial thoughts are very positive. Quick to put together in a layout, and heavy enough to stay in place pretty well. They look good unpainted, if a little bland in a large expanse. There's quite a bit of texture to all the pieces. Some of the smaller decorative pieces feel a little flimsy, and the big plates (4x6) are a little warped, but good suggestions on the forum for fixing them. Only one mistake I've noticed in the order so far, there should be two of the window walls (one is in the wall where the narthex of the cathedral would be in the pic below), but I only have one. I need to do an overall piece count, but haven't noticed anything else, and nothing came broken.

And now, some pics! (Text is copied from an email I sent the game group)

Heavy boxes, ready for disassembly.

What could possibly be inside? Hint: it's more boxes. Two separate boxes make a complete 'set.'

Plus, in fine telethon tradition, a tote bag.

And inside the smaller boxes? A letter and lots of little plastic baggies. A whole two-box set, unwrapped.

A close-up of a wall piece.

One base set made into a quick little chapel.

And, after much more unwrapping, the Cathedral of Emptiness for Stëel Hävökk (öür möst-ëxcëllënt ädvëntürïng gröüp) to romp through....

This morning the kids and I put together a castle. Ran out of wall pieces before we could make a very interesting interior layout, but you get the idea.

Both that and the large cathedral are using two of the base sets and the four extra kits. Still the other six boxes for the three remaining sets unopened.

We're having our annual Halloween game next weekend, and I hope we get a chance to put the sets into use for that.

Awesome Castle - i like the big open courtyard feeling - cool to think you did that with only 2 sets!!! (i suspect a floor pack was involved because that is a big open space) - glad you like your toys, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, it's two sets plus the Floor Pack, Dungeon Dressing Pack, Chamber of Sorrows, and Grand Stair Pack. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Good to see a castle set-up! Thanks for sharing & Welcome OneBallJay.

I already have a tons of original sets and like the idea of using the Game Tiles for more surface buildings.
When my sets arrive I think I will be straight into the Tile Trade room. I am after all the windows and doors I can get my hands on....
