i ended up with 1,3,4,4

if you get only 1 set 4.... here is what you should expect

10 straight hallways

4 corners

4 t-intersections

14 connectors (4+10 of set4)

each corner needs 2 connectors so you can use all 4 corners with 6 left over for T-intersections of which you could use 2 of your 4 or you could do 1 X intercetion with 2 connectors left w no t-intersections

each t-intersection needs 3 connectors so you can use all 4 T-intersections with 2 left over to use 1 corner. (3 corners unused)

If you want to use all corners and intersections at the SAME TIME you need 8+12 or 20 connectors...

you could put a straight hallway next to one of these pieces but with the outward bevel of the corners/intersections, you will create a small gap in the floor.

not a problem if you don't plan on using all 4 corners and 4 intersections at the same time, then 1 of pack 4 could do... you might run short for larger builds though.
