Fundafull Form 7 Months, 4 Weeks ago  
I just received my fundaful invitation from DF to complete my order. The only thing I couldn't see was how long I had to add more funds and complete my order does anyone know did I miss it somewhere? Thanks for any info!

Hey Crimson,

I completed mine earlier (and am now broke) I had to add the funds at the point of finalization before It would finalize. It allowed me to add funds from a different source then I used to pledge. Once I paid the page looks like this:

Insofar as how long the pledge manager will stay open I imagine a few weeks but I believe its been stated that certain sets (Lava) may be limited and my guess is priority would go to those who locked in first.

The lava sets are not limited. They are not evergreen.

I kind of wish they'd let us know what the deadline for the Fundafull is. I don't see it anywhere, and I don't see the advantage of locking in until I have to.

My sentiments exactly. I would rather lock-in later. After all, I may be able to free up more cash before I am forced to lock in. Also, it would be foolish for DF to create an incentive to lock in sooner than the final lock-in date by scaring supporters that if they do not lock in early they will miss out on the lava sets. I know for a fact that locking in later will likely result in more cash in DF's pockets as more people free up more money over time.

Addicted to DF - Proud owner of 147 DF sets and counting = 126 new non-bowtie sets, and 21 older bowtie sets! By some miracle, I have managed to avoid wife aggro so far...

I thought I read during the kickstarter that FundaFill would accept PayPal? All I am seeing is credit card. Or am I missing something?

Stefan an Jeff I wanted you to know that I both love the Wicked Cavern Add-on and hate you for it. See, I had made my pledge and was not going to add to it. But with the Wicked Cavern Add-on coming out at the end and needing to see it and know the cost, I had to go into Fundafull and add to get it. Now I am getting about 30% more. So my suggestion for KS3 is to do the same thing come out with another you suggest it add-on and keep the KS excitement going, because the doom to your wallet spell does damage in the second round also.

Is there any chance the painting video will be up before Fundafull closes? I'm interested in seeing how difficult replicating the water cavern paint job will be.

i doubt they are having time to complete a painting video in the next week while Stefan is finishing up sculpts for the Wicked Additions pack.

that being said, I am sure that painting videos are coming... you can take a look at the dungeon painting videos and try to determine if you are able/willing to do that much. caverns themselves aren't too different. now the water and the lava appears to have about 4 colors each with the darkest in the centers working back towards the lightest at the edges...

from someone who has painted miniatures and pieces before, the water seems very simple. lava, is much more difficult to get it to look right. as the last color is usually black dry-brush on the top layers... if you are hesitant, go for painted.

Last time I bought both CoS painted and unpainted. 1- I wanted one in my dungeon scheme, and 2 I thought that I couldn't equal that particular paint job. This time I am going fully unpainted except for 1 mushroom pack which appears to be equal to or better than what I can do, so I gave in and picked painted.

If you doubt your ability, get painted. But from a painter who has done it previously, I don't think the water is beyond a beginners ability to reproduce... Lava might challenge a beginner, but water shouldn't... but then again it is a personal question you need to ask yourself.

Personally I went for painted on the water and the WE pack. I didn't want to have to try and paint those with my worsening arthritis. I am having a hard enough time painting KS 1. All week to just get about a 100 done with the initial grey. Luckily I have a backer committed to paying for the painted water sets. Hey he works three jobs as he is a workaholic. I am not good at painting miniatures with my Sjogrens I cannot see the details anymore. Which is bad since I have 60+ coming from another KS! Unlike DF they are five months late already:(
