Interesting use of Woodland Scenics molds on blocks. I had not considered using them with the dwarven forge. I think I would use foam blocks rather than wood though. They would be much lighter. I wonder what I could made with this mold?

I used one of the new release WS molds and cast it thin and trimmed it to fit the block. I have found that pink foam works well for some things but is not rigid enough for thin cast. For the stepped falls I am going to partly fill the mold again and see if I can make the cast work for that. I have the new river bank and river bed molds too.

I am sure the mold you have will work fine.

I worked on the walls and discovered that I need to cut the blocks a saw blade shorter so that I can texture the tops. I worked with the new river bank and riverbed molds some this morning.

Using the riverbank cast for 2" X 2" is a bit tricky. The edges need to match up on all of the tiles no mater which tiles are used. I will have to trim the edges of some of the water tiles on the disk sander. The riverbed cast were added to the waterfall sections to increase the overhang and improve detail.
You will see why I did this when I add the water effects for the waterfall.

I stained the river bed cast to prevent the glue from spoiling the paint effect I will use. It makes it a bit easier to see.

I will use riverbed cast to cap the walls instead of the HA cavern floor cast. I do not have enough cast for now.

I don't know if that will work out for you but if you had pledged $4,500 you might have had a chance at getting Stefan. ;)

I only worked a few minutes today on the waterfall.

I stained the rock with Woodland Scenic pigments to seal it for painting. I will base coat one of them black so I can match the pain of the resin caverns.
I will demonstrate how to use the Water effects with the other.

The Water Effects waterfall sheets will dry over night. I will scrape them off the plastic sheet and attach them using the Water Effect as glue. I have a water sheet resting over the unpainted rock. It does not show very well.

I love the design, but I see a few problems.

Cost - That design will require whole new huge pieces.

You cant get behind the water fall for tunnel/caves.

Stacking pieces similar to the archways in the river sets would be great for waterfalls.
If they could be made lego style so they can be clipped together that would work best. (Joining male/female end.)

"You can't get behind the waterfall for tunnel/caves."
Well, that was not part of this concept. It would be difficult on a two by two but not impossible.I will make one.

Cost
It would cost the same as the other stackable blocks. It is the same size.I think Stefan could make a better one.Maybe with all of the elements on one block.

"the archways in the river sets"
They are 4 inches wide. I agree that would look better. The PVC blocks are restricted to two by two.

Just checking but this isn't the OFFICAL wicked add-on sketches and models are they? This is just community supported enthusiasm, right? They are amazing work though - would you be making/selling these?

And by exploring, he meant doing a kick ass job of DIY with step by step images so we all can pretend that we are doing it with him...

Seriously, I want to kidnap you as well... to at least teach me your skills and then I promise to let you go. I pay in pizza and beer.
