Hoping the next KS is *AT LEAST* 18 months out... I *WAY* overcommited to this last kickstarter and the previous one before that.

I'm not sure about anybody else but if KS3 rolls round sooner I will be taking the sidelines and hoping the product line is available later down the road.

My guess is with how well the second KS did a year after the first, you should expect KS3 to start around March 2015.

What I am hoping for the next Dwarvenite KS.

#1 Sewers/MBS
#2 Realm of the Ancients
#3 Woodland set

SHIPS - Imagine the image below cut into DF tile square pieces. You could make any size ship you want. (this is my most wanted)

While I am not really interested in a ship KS

I can see an easy way to make it an add-on in a KS with MBS

The wood floor of MBS would work great for a ship deck.
The deck or balcony railing would work great for the ships railing.
we would need left and right floor tile that are 1/2"X1"x2"long and a filler 1"x2" so we could do ship curves and for the bow of the ship. Plus some stair tiles and some floor tiles with stairs would work for both MBS and ships. Some of the grate tiles that had been talked about for sewers could be painted as metal and be used on ships.

Clever thought Kodiakbear - i like it. Big bonus to this plan, you are very unlikely to need ships at the same time as you need buildings.

It could be several add ons: #1 convert MBS to ships, #2 Ship walls, #3 Ship dressings

Fun stuff

CodyN,

I think MBS > ships is an awesome idea. At its most basic it would not require a lot of add-ons to make the idea work. And as Kitenerd suggests, it could easily be done in add-on packs for those who're interested. Clever thinking.

I still definitely see the appeal of smaller boat / ship models, but while I'd theoretically love a couple huge ship models, I can't imagine having space to store them, and this would allow builds of all sorts of sizes and shapes.

I even started to think of a Floor Pack Add-on including 2 ea of the down stair tiles and 2 ea hatch doors like on a ship or out of an attic or into a small houses basement.

It is sad when you do not even want something and then you start coming up with ideas for it to the point that you see your self spending money you don't have on it.

I know DF has done minis but I hope they do not move back into it.

To many other mini makers out there.

My number one wish for the next kickstarter would be the modular castle system that Stefan has hinted at being in the works since way back. A dwarvenite version of that would trump any other option as far as gathering lots of backers IMHO.

Castles would work well for me for KS3. I still think the town set would be better, though.

I really like that idea Kodiakbear!

I know MBS is on the top of my wishlist and being able to build multi-leveled ship decks would be icing on the cake.

Doing a flat deck is fairly easy, but doing a multlevel deck and/or ship interiors is much more complicated. More complicated than anything DF has done before, if curved hulls are part of the design.

A fun idea, absolutely, but complicated. And probably worth a thread all its own, if people wanted to start playing with design ideas.
