Kickstarter Update 5: Lava 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I can't comment on the kickstarter forum because my husband is doing the pledging on his account on our behalf. But, I just wanted to say WOW WOW WOW after the last update with the surprise lava add-on pack, and also the 45 degree pieces! The lava pack just looks AMAZING! I think I'm even more excited about this kickstarter than I was about the last one!

Quick question: Is the passage piece in the lava set meant to be a transitional piece? I couldn't quite tell from the posted pictures, but it looked like it was the cavern paint job on one end, and then the lava on the other.

Agreed, I'm very excited by the lava set. It definitely looks like the passage piece is transitional to me, especially in Stefan's post showing it combined with Hellscape: www.dwarvenforge.com/caverns/lavahellsm.jpg

I'd love to get a close look at the detail on the Floor "D" piece, even unpainted to see what all is going on with it.

Definitely foresee needing some crack/crevasse pieces to go with the Lava set so that I can include larger pools of lava!

An amazing paint job. Looks like a completely different product, and shows off the versatility of the sculpts. Makes me wonder how stunning an ice cavern color scheme could be. If I had the budget for it, I'd have to have a set of each theme; too bad I'll have to wait and hope the "D" Floor shows up as a future stretch goal.

Now This does indeed look fabulous & a full sized sub Cavern in its own right!

My pledge increased by $75 + $20 (International delivery)

+ Great to see the 2 x 45 Degree curved pieces ahead of us. Makes me very happy knowing I will get 10 of these :D

Onwards to the $1.1 Million !

How much are the add-on packs? And where is that information? I can't find it on the KS page.

It's listed on the pictures for the packs, as well as in the pledge calculator. The Lava set is $55 unpainted, $75 painted.

Sadly, I can only afford one of these at that price (need it painted).

Thanks! Don't know how I missed that! (actually, I do -- lack of sleep!)

These are some pretty nice sets. To be honest, I'm still on the fence about this set. It looks like a really awesome set, I have no reservations about the quality and utility. But unfortunately, money and space are really tight for me right now, and I have only so much of either that I can allocate to DF. DF already has a HUGE hold on my available space, and DF caverns already take up a LOT of room. I just don't think I can justify getting more, however awesome they look. (that said, we'll see how I feel when more add-ons are unveiled over time). I also know I need to save some $ and space for Catacombs 2, and for the next KS, and for the sewer set... I'm just trying to think and plan ahead. But -- $@!#$# it sucks. Because I really do think these look awesome....
