just a quick post showing the backsides and some close ups of the glittering mineral deposits that some of the pieces have.....I used metallic paint to create what looks like viens of something....maybe iron ore? Looks awesome in the flesh....pics don't really do justice....

Looking good.

Yea think I spotted a piece that might work for the rounded corner (if doesn't get changed).

The "v" shaped one might be not getting one....but it be a cool chasm piece. ;0) if one was made to fit behind the v.

Edit: oh and there's gold I'm those hills!

Pretty Cool Stephan, Will the painted sets have the gold look threw-out the sets? I think I would prefer it on just a few pieces but I haven't had them in hand....He He He... Yet!

It's just those pieces shown....and it's not gold paint...it's an Antique bronze, so it's more subtle...not garrish...

I'm definitely going to try adding the precious metal deposits on my unpainted sets. I think I'll be asking my geologist friend for some pointers on how deposits look. He's a pretty good resource for that.

Incidentally, if anyone is familiar with the 'Ring of Fire' around these parts where I'm from in Northwestern Ontario (Canada), he does a lot of work with the native community up here regarding that area. It's a very fantasy-sounding name and I've thought of using it in a story line.

WOW - Terrific the amount of love and attention that has been lavished on these pieces - they look gorgeous.

In another post i expressed disappointment with the flat exterior of the passage pieces. Having taken a closer look at the LARGE photos, there is actually quite a lot of detail sculpted into those flat sides that makes them look really good. I should have know to trust Stefan not to miss an opportunity to make the product beautiful!

Now those are really nice!

I went in for unpainted the last kickstarter and was very pleased with the choice. This time around, I'm going to add in some painted simply because they look so good!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of the goodies you have planned for us.

Wow those look Phenomenal! I have found a bronze, silver, and gold powder that goes a looong way. I am so excited to try some on these caverns small veins of unrefined ore awaiting a group of miners and the party that has been hired to protect them. Can't wait!!!!
