KickStarter CAVERNS - General topics 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Just got home and was able to get onto and Pledge for my 5 sets of painted CAVERNS.

Whilst I was on the KS page - the numbers available were dropping and dropping!
Hurry up all forum people... You need to be QUICK on this one to get the set size deals you really want...

P.S - I LOVE the video!
@Stefan you are a natural gnome illusionist and have us all under your skill full charm.

Ok.. I really am befuddled.

I JUST refreshed so I could add an update to these numbers and noticed that Jeff / Stefan have increased the number of sets! by +50 to both the '5 set deals'.
Which is a GREAT thing. I want everyone on these here forums who wants to pledge on the KS to get the best deals and the size of pledge that they want..

So now it looks like:

Hopefully that lets many more of you get to a computer for lunch / evening meal / breakfast etc before they have all gone.
:)

...hopefully those dwarfs that work behind the scenes right here at Dwarven Forge are making more and more sets available throughout so we can all be very happy bunnies and the 'factory' kept at full production till end of this year.

They add more when they need more. It's an 'artificial scarcity' tactic that I don't really agree with myself, but it helps generate pledges so... whatever.

Don't expect them to run out of tiles any time soon... ;)

Good to know that everyone will get to have a chance to have some. Ultimately the 'Factory' will have a maximum number of units they can make for a set point in time. Upping it can only go so far without risking the delivery date? unless there is 'Factory 2' ?
(Maybe some of the '10 sets' were reduced ? I was not tracking all of the numbers. Just the level I wanted to pledge at.)

well, there are a finite amount of molds, and those are the biggest expense. the biggest problem is weight for shipping, and thats what really limits the size of add-ons. volume wise, you can fit a heck of a lot in a shipping container.

the KS has a good strong start, with no sign of stopping. im in for 5 painted sets, the same as last year, and looking forward to seeing the add-ons.

i don't remember where the first set started out with the max, but it ended for 5 piece sets of 1 out of 1000 for the unpainted and 7 of 500 for the painted and 198 out of 1500 for the unpainted 2 sets

so keep that in mind for the new run, if we run out of all the items as is would we get up to the 2 mil mark like we got so close to last time?

artcwolf,

I don't think there's any danger of maxing out on anything. As DungeonBuilder mentioned, DF will undoubtedly keep increasing the limits on each pledge level as they near selling out. (They may push the shipping date a little further off if things go really big.) These guys really know what they're doing, they can handle a big production run and it benefits everyone if the KS goes big, so I'm sure they're ready for it.

If only all Kickstarter projects were so competently run...

I also backed the 5 painted sets...because Gamer Crack. I missed KS1 and I'm super excited for this!

Nevermind, make that 10 sets, I got friends piggybacking on my order...

He is such a goon, makes me proud to support him and DF!!! He is just a big goofy kid who loves his toys as much as we do!

I can't believe there isn't a whole thread dedicated to the sneak peek of a serpent entrance we saw in the background - oh please please please make that turn into a reality - it is incredibly cool!

Now the only thing I would like is a DF t-shirt, maybe indicating kickstarter support. I guess I can always ask them at GenCon...
