LED Battery Operated Wall Torches 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I may be mistaken but for some reason I was under the impression that DF sold straight wall pieces with small battery operated torches at one time. Perhaps they were only fan-made customs? Regardless. I was thinking it would be relatively easy to customize / drill a small hole in Dwarvenite Straight Wall pieces and insert electronic torches.

Can we just purchase the torches themselves from DF?

If DF doesn't sell them individually - could they point us to the direct manufacturer whom they purchased them from (I doubt DF was in the business of soldering the individual components from scratch?)

If I'm mistaken and DF never sold these - is there a suggested alternative product out there? Fan made? Whatever?

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

I don't think DF has made any LED wall torches but they have done the Catacombs set with 4 corner wall pieces with Lighting.

If your interested in LED wall Pieces I just made these and will be putting them up on Ebay in the near future...

The Grated Raised Pit in the centers is also new and I have those in the CoS bloodied paint scheme also

If anyone is interested : johnkeebler@charter.net

Smogma,

If you want a tutorial, the first part of my blog here shows how I did mine. These ones were not battery operated, but my newer ones are.

Thank you Arcarius. Yes it took a lot of patience to get everything working.

Keeblerorc, do the flames on your wall pieces flicker like a torch/candle, or do they just stay lit with no flicker?

They Flicker away their little embers....

Also they are Wall Brazers rather than torches...

I wanted to be a bit different.

Each piece has its own internal power so it keeps their use simple... no wires, plugs and power supplies.

I just sold this set and will be making another set this week.

They look fantastic especially with the lights down low....If I could figure out how I would post a video.

Can the internal power be replaced?

Is ther a switch to turn them off?

What is their projected power lifespan?

"Can the internal power be replaced?"

Its a Disc Battery...so Yes.

"Is there a switch to turn them off?"

Yes.

"What is their projected power lifespan?"

I don't know how long the battery will last but I did forget to turn one off over the weekend and it was still going 2 days later. With Batteries, like everything else Good Fresh Batteries last longer.... funny part is I bought some name brands that died in half a day and some cheap China Ebay ones that lasted a couple days.
