How to make a 1x2 ascending staircase 1 Year ago
I have a feeling that in the last heady days of this KS, we'll see a stretch goal for a staircase going up.

If that doesn't happen, and you can't lay your hands on a set of resin stairs from an older DF set, here's how you might be able to make your own. (Disclaimer: I have no idea how well dwarvenite cuts or glues, but I suspect the crafters among us will be able to manage it.)

1. Start with a Floor tile.
2. Cut it in half to make two 1x2 sections.
3. Cut one of the 1x2 sections at about 2/3rd of its length.
4. Glue the pieces one on top of the other, in descending order of length, with the cut ends lined up against one end, as shown in the image below.

Voila! The width of each stair should be 2/3rd of an inch, which hopefully is enough to balance a mini on while still looking like stair steps.

For a wider stair, just do the project above twice and set them side by side in your dungeon.

For two wide stairs, cut two floor tiles into two 2" long 1/3 / 2/3 pieces, then glue on top of two uncut floor tiles in descending order as above.
