Are we expecting a series of new painting videos? 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Just curious... would liked to have had this before the KS closed to determine how difficult these cavern pieces are to paint. Is Stefan going to do another set of these?

I personally just got the base sets, so I need to know what paints are necessary for just those pieces.

Is there a list somewhere of what paints where used to paint what pieces? I'm getting unpainted sets but majority of my addons are painted and I need to know what all paints I need to buy to paint my base sets to match my addons.

I can leave off the lava but almost looks like I need every color besides those.

If you are painting your own, and want to match the caverns stuff like the way the factory painted them then i recommend buying the paints...Earthstone from the "dungeon" kickstarter painting batch was used to paint the stalagmites on all the cavern pieces so you will need a good amount of that paint...Cavern dry brush is a sort of grey beige color that is used a lot for the cavern pieces....it is NOT the same color as stone edge drybrush...you may wish however to use a touch of that stone edge drybrush as a last subtle touch...I do not think the chinese will use it, but I will for my own cavern pieces...

The paints we are selling (Pokorny paints) are colors I mixed to match the colors the chinese used which is a different kind of paint, laquer...I bugged them to send me step by step swatches of the exact colors they used for each stage of painting this time....it drove them crazy a bit, but they were really accomodating...

I will do some painting videos again but they won't be ready so soon...I am exhausted...but I promise to get some done before November....we are also trying to make a small paint step catalogue which will make it all very easy to match if that's what you want....

I am also sure many of you will have your own way of painting...but even in this case, our colors will come in handy just because you will have to cover a lot of cavern pieces and our paint is a really great price in large bottles not tiny bottles that you will use up almost right away....

Thank you for your consideration and hope i answered all your questions? I am at Connecticon running D&D games:)

Stefan,
You mention making painting videos of game sets but I know I would venture into painting minis and dungeon dressings if I had step by step instructions and knowing what colors are being used.

Maybe this would help increase paint sales.

Your thoughts?

So to match the factory we just need Earthstone and Cavern Dry Brush?

You may want the base gray and the Stone edge also.

For lava, the three yellow, orange and black lava.

For water, Moss Green Pokorny Paint (1 bottle), Water Bubbles Blue Pokorny Paint (1 bottle), Shallow Water Seaweed Green Pokorny Paint (1 bottle), Deep Water Green Pokorny Paint (1 bottle).

White Pokorny Paint, School Bus and the Cardboard are good base colors for certain areas like mushrooms, wood, etc.

I am so ecstatic Stefan is bringing out these paint colors. From my personal use they are such a great value and quality that I intent to buy one of each before the 20th and surely more once they are in the web-store.
My mind spins thinking about how much more fun I can get out of modifying pieces without having to hit and miss mixing paint to match.

Everybody asked for these colors and Stefan has worked with Zaltar (I'm sure at great peril) to summon our wishes.... So Please Support this en devour and Stefan will continue to work his magic.

$8 and free shipping for 4 oz bottles vs. $4+ for 1/3-1/2 oz is a no brainer.

A Hearty Thank You Stefan for the great stuff.

I have some small bottles of the previously released colors (I went in with some buddies and we all filled some reaper bottles with paint); if my bottles are still half full, I don't think I'll need more Stone Edge Dry Brush (goes a long way)... what is the Base Gray used for in the caverns?

So right now to match the general colors, can Stefan please verify I'd need Earthstone, Cavern Dry Brush, and Stone Edge Dry Brush? The Cardboard color also looks like it could be used on the walls; will it be part of the painting process?
