TOPIC: add-on prices?

Re:add-on prices? 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Yup took the survey :) glad i waited.

for the this stage i was looking at what was unlocked at the reward level not time frame as in days into the fund. I didn't get into the KS last year until i think the last few days.

patience is hard when you're looking at a stack of bills your tax refund could pay or new toys to expand game night lol.....I hate being a grown-up with a family at times hehehe.

The Survey says:

"Great! Thanks for filling out the survey. You are hereby granted +1 to all saves for the day."
:)

I will be adding +1 to all my rolls and avoiding red lights all day!

From KS comments, directly from Jeff:

@Jeremy - We are using a different pricing plan this time which will be a lot less complicated, and allow us to price Add On Packs differently. Each will just be priced per pack. -- Jeff

Mar 12 2014 on Dwarven Forge's Caverns - Dwarvenite Game Tiles Mini Terrain.

I hope they remain competitively priced, but the idea of having different costs for different options might wind up being an amazing deal. Until they launch, though, we really don't know.

i sure hope there is still some incentive to buy more packs than you plan to (other thant the fact that they are irresistible...) i need to be able to rationalize my over spending... "i HAD to get 7 add ons because at that many i saved $5!!!!"

I pretty much do that with every KS I back - Kingdom Death, specifically.

"If I buy it now at 40, instead of waiting for retail to be around 75, I'm REALLY saving 35 bucks..."

In the case of KD, I wound up "saving" about 400 bucks that way.

Same thing with a ton of the Bones 2 addons. Those dragons and the "not-tarrasque" aren't going to be cheap at retail.

It's still a true number, but the justification helps. :)

Looking like from the chat there will be NO incentive to buy more add ons (other than their inherent coolness...)

Started brainstorming about what they could do - some kind of extra piece for people who bought more than 4 add ons or some such - but that is a logistics and packaging NIGHTMARE...

Then a light came on - Tshirts! - an exclusive tshirt only for backers of add ons - Dwarven Forge... i can't stop myself!" or some such silly slogan (i had this idea literally five minutes ago...) - they cost next to nothing to make, are EASY to add at fullfillment time, and we would all LOVE to advertise our addiction and Dwarven Forge's product at cons and our FLGS - i'm thinking a free t shirt if you get 5 add ons?

I totally would break the piggy bank for that!

I can tell you first-hand the Bones KS was not cheap, even from eBay where I had to get mine b/c I had missed it. I got in on the 2nd one, to be sure, and pretty much got every fantasy add-on piece you could get because I know how much it'll cost me if I want it later.
