YEAH!

I look forward to some spectacular builds. 5 sets is sweet, i mostly filled our small dining room table yesterday night. I am glad i bumped form 3 to 5 at the last minute.

Have fun,

Now that I have my Game Tiles in hand I really very much want to see the sewer sets done in Dwarvenite as a 3rd KS. I know that some would like sewers to be done in resin and while I understand their passion. Stefan's fantastic 2x2 sculpts would love Dwarvenite and it would really increase the number of customers having them in Dwarvenite. I can see a Dwarvenite KS with sewers and passages doing very well.

About the "You're not going to be able to put resin over PVC/rubber", I don't know that this is true. I've put Urethane over PVC before (dipping Reaper Bones, for example) and it's flexible. That could be one option. The obvious option, though, would be to use Silcone RTV. I've done a great many projects using Dow Silastic and other RTV materials - you simply add catalyst and pigment and you can put it over rubber, PVC, resin...anything.

I don't think this is going to be a problem. It may not look like the resin water, but quite honestly, I'm not too concerned. DF has done masterful stuff so far and Stefan's a pretty inventive guy, so I have no doubt that this is going to be a simple fix.

If I can do it, he can do it better.

I agree Stefan and the DF team are up to the challenge no matter whether they go with wet tiles or as I hope tiles that are dry or painted damp or insert wet.

This may be too late in the post for much of a response... but I have a somewhat serious concern regarding these sewer tiles.

Based on the picture... it seems like a miniature only really has one place to stand...

If minis will only fit onto one potential piece of floor... that pretty severely limits the tactical usefulness of these pieces.

I mean they LOOK great... but will I really be able to get much use out of the pieces other than what boils down to a 5' X 5' tunnel?

I think the plan is to make sewer pieces modular enough that the channel can run between two walls, or floor tiles can be placed on one or both sides of the channel to create larger sewer passages or chambers.

I suppose I am only looking at a very small selection of potential pieces.

I shall have faith that the end product is tactically friendly.

JasonYoung,

I think the upcoming Sewer Set is designed so that Sewer walls will be stand-alone pieces, physically separate from floor pieces (Take a closer look at this thread). This way, any width (0, 5', 10' and more...) of floor can be put between wall pieces and canal pieces. This would make this Set very adaptable and very tactical if you take into account "jump" rules.

but but i was hoping the third kickstarter would be the Medieval Building Set. maybe it could be possible to squeak in three tiles of that set into one of the upcoming projects?

For DF I would think restocking resin caverns about three months after the KS would be best. By three months after the first KS people were itching to play and were buying resin off ebay big time. Of course since I think it takes a year to make resin pieces it only works if they already had the resin issues fixed and ordered a long time ago.
