Well I have to put my vote in for doing this in Master Maze with resin ala the river sets. FYI, I need 3 sets in two weeks Stefan (lol!). Two a regular set and another an expansion!

+1 for clear inserts, or greenish translucences etc.

I think these are pretty much an essential for a Sewers experience.

Translucent minis usually try for very translucent I wonder if DF went with a little more foggy PVC/Plastic then a quick paint on the bottom and a wash on top would give a murky dirty look.

Perhaps the expert painters could give their 2 cents.

For water/sewage/toxic waste/*empty* ... I guess I would have assumed (eek!) removable pieces. Inlays of sorts. Using the images already, they would be flat on top (liquid, ya know!) but rounded on the bottom so that they lay in the tunnel pieces. This way the tunnels can be used "wet" or dry.

Probably an add-on set, since the number of inlays would need to match the number of tunnel pieces and not everyone would want them. So maybe Tunnel Set, Inlay Set, and of course the Combo Tunnel and Inlay Set.

Although the inlay idea is a good one, I would worry about breakages (they'd be very thin), warping and shrinking. Also there would be the inevitable gap/lip effect when you placed the inlay water onto the brick sewer floor pieces.

I would prefer the water to be integral to the pieces, like the water in the cavern sets or the cavernous lake sets.

Just my 2 penneth!

The best plastic I have seen so far for this is the kind that was used on the WOTC colossal red dragon's fire breath. No breakage worries plus with the 2X2 size of Stefan's sculpt there should be minimal warping on water inlay. In the end Stefan will give use something great in Dwarvenite.

Late to the thread, but I think Pledge Future Floor Wax (six bucks at Walmart) is an excellent option for sewers. It's an easy to apply acrylic, which dries glossy. It's also used in washes for mini's painting.

IMO, KS is an *excellent* platform for these exotic pieces. With KS, DF tells potential backers how much it's going to cost, then they decide whether or not to fund the project. Without KS, DF would take a risk on a product that's just as expensive to produce as their generic dungeon tiles, but with a much greater risk of unknown sales demand. Realistically, without KS, companies wouldn't take on these riskier products, thereby reducing the variety of stuff consumers have to choose from.

Have you used it on your Dwarvenite game tiles yet?

I am now in control of five sets to terrorize my player's characters.

I think I will mod a few dozen before I paint them.

Thanks for the offer kitenerd
