the medieval buildings are an out-of-stock resin set on the products page. its basically the inside of an Inn or other wood structure. very good for putting together most the buildings in a town.

it would probably work in dwarvenite, but may not be popular enough.

jimibones83,

I think Jackattack`s point was that people already made a lot of beautiful sewers setups and that an official DF Set would have a lot of potential.

Here`s the most eye-catching you can get from a quick and simple "sewers" search (within the last 3 years) on this forum.

If you have not done it already, I suggest you browse the "cool photos" section. There`s a LOT of goodness in there!

I'm also hopeful that if the sewers are done in dwarvenite - they won't need that lip/v-shaped groove in the current design that biowizard pointed out. (because the dwarvenite pieces won't need it because they won't use resin water). I think the lip looks dumb and thanks to PVC, even though it may have less detail, it's a perfect instance where "less can be more".

that's why I was confused I guess cuz my comment was in total agreement with that. Lots of games take place in sewers, they would be quite useful. I'll check out those pics too though;)

I totally see your point. I would like medieval sets in GT though cause I do alot of abandoned city adventures where there are alot of building to explore so I would end up using them alot.

Question Crimson_King_of_the_Tower

Would you rather use Dwarvenite medieval buildings that look new for abandoned city adventures.

Or

A Dwarvenite ancient Greek/Roman buildings with ruins for abandoned city adventures.

I ask one cause I am curious and two cause I really want Dwarvenite ancient Greek/Roman buildings with ruins for my own abandoned city/temple adventures.

Eventually, I'd like the option to have both MBS and Greco-Roman Buildings.

MBS represents wattle-and-daub construction. Ancient Greek construction was either stone blocks (temples and other large structures) or mud bricks and plaster. Which are you thinking of for Greco-Roman DF?

MBS does not currently have "ruined" pieces. I like the "new" motif because for a while it was easier to find ruined medieval buildings than whole (because they were being made for wargaming), and because I personally find it easier to picture a new building ruined than a ruined building whole.

When (if) we get to a kickstarter for MBS, maybe DF can offer an add-on of ruined pieces. Same for a Greco-Roman KS.

Ahh yes, a ruins add-on and a custom paint job with MBS would probably do the trick. My adventurers tend to spend their time in pretty slummy towns, anyway.

No particular string feelings on sets after Caverns. All of those sewer threads posted were pretty awesome. I particularly like this one and would definitely pay for something like it:

I am thinking more of stone block consturction and stone block ruins

Mud bricks and plaster construction is not as interesting and mud bricks and plaster riuns are really boring looking in my eyes.

duh, I'm an idiot lol. Thanx for pointing that out to me. I'm new to DF and my brain was calling that set the Inns and Taverns set. I'd have to flip sides here in light of this new discovery and say a million times yes to medieval buildings set being my choice after caverns. Sewers will be great too but a dwarvinite medieval buildings would be so very useful to me

Ruins would be one thing I would be as happy to see as Sewers. I'm not quite sure how you would do it, but it sounds like something that would have a lot of potential if you could figure out something cool for in between the ruined structures.
