Individual Dwarvenite Pieces 10 Months ago
When could we reasonably expect individual pieces to go on sale? I understand that you can't just have an endless amount of these pieces sitting around because some will sell and some won't and you have to pay for them in batches but... as someone who has a moderate Dwarven Forge collection (around 60 sets) and now with the pending addition of all the Kickstarter stuff I pledged to; I can finally start working on massive multi-level set-ups but the red pillar's piece really helps multi-level setups. I am hoping to get between 80 to 100 of them. I'd rather give you guys the money but if individual pieces are not in the works can someone suggest a place to find something that is similar in size to use for this function?

thanks

Wow, If you really want that many red pillars please call Jeff and maybe he can put in an order for you in the next shipment? We could make them available in a Set of like 4 or 8 if there is a demand for them...normally we only offer individuals or small sets if it's a really popular item...80 pillars would help jump start such an item's availability...that would be like 20 sets of 4 pillars...our minimum with the factory might be something like 360 sets...so it would still need to be popular with lots of other folks for us to risk ordering so many....

Perhaps folks could sound off on interest? If the price is right I would figure they would do well. I could easily be interested in a couple packs myself.

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

Yes Swcorwyn,

That is indeed the pillar that I am speaking of.

Does having them painted raise the minimum order?
Would the minimum order be less if they were unpainted?
Just curious. I am just wondering if the process of painting
adds a lot of calculation time and production time by the factory.
In my mind I can see how painted pillars would take much more scaling for
mass production verse plain pillars just being churned out quick.

But what do I know about manufacturing.

it might take a little less time, but it does not matter as they ALL have to go on the same container...

pillars (painted) sound good, but it depends on the per-unit cost, and i wont know how many i want until i get to play with my game tiles a bit.

other popular individual pieces are going to be the freestanding walls, stairs and pedestals. i know im going to want more pedestals, those things look useful.

seriously, freestanding walls are fantastic things. they were great in the catacombs set, and (if they balance properly) will help add a sense of depth to some rooms.

I would buy a few packs also depending on the price. You can never have enough pillars!

Well... since the old red pillars were 8 for 15.00, I thought 8 for 12.00 unpainted and 8 for 20.00 painted would be a fair price point. In truth I would be more for unpainted because as support pillars they are very unlikely to be seen.

But I agree, freestanding walls, stairs and pedestals would all be hot sellers/ in high demand as well.
