So.....

In the Statement below....

You can Please some of the people some of the time...
You can Please some of the all of the time.....
But you can't Please all of the people all of the time.

Jim falls into the first category and I must fall into the last category...LOL

Jim you took my point wrong..... The point is Stefan and DF have to make decisions as to price, process, distribution and a plethora of other things as well as get the website up and running all the new stuff in order. What he needs to do is "figure out what he needs to do" and the customer base will follow.....

When I got the recent survey about resin restocking I wasn't happy to see a soon to be coming price increase on resin sets but it doesn't do any good to complain about it.... I will either see the price at a point that I see the value of buying it or I wont. I believe that rather than complaining about the price that I am better off spending my energy making more money to buy the desires of my finger pointing heart.

I believe we need to create a new forum section just for complaints... It would come with a free unlimited use Dwarven Forge 'Dwarvenite' Hug Post and maybe some "Emo" music in the background, and some custom wall paper with the slogan 'Turn that Frown Upside Down'. After all we all need a hug once in a while.

Exactly. I don't want to give the impression that I am faulting Stefan or Jeff in any way, I can just understand the frustration and the misinterpretation that led to it for some folks. Just because their mistake is understandable doesn't mean Jeff or Stefan did anything wrong.

I think for some people the excitement set their expectations pretty high, so they feel let down. These things happen and no business endeavor is completely free of them. I think that some of the replies may have had an unintended accusatory tone on both sides of this discussion and that some folks have gotten a bit ruffled. It is important to remember that text lacks a lot of context that we have in speech so tone is easily mistaken. What was meant to simply be matter of fact or tongue in cheek can come across much harsher without those cues. I just don't want to see things degenerate on here, this is a pretty awesome place for people to share about an awesome hobby, I'd like it to stay that way.

Jeff and Stefan have no real obligation to allow us to talk about other companies' products, modifying their product, or post all the criticisms that can show up. They let us do that and don't stifle the conversation at all. Personally, I respect and appreciate that a lot. I just want folks to try to respect one another, even if we disagree. Let's all try to keep this community awesome.

Lol, I'll take a dwarvinite hug. Anyway many people here have actually taken me wrong. They have immediately defended price when the price was not the complaint. The complaint was that we were expecting something else. This misunderstanding is justified because the words left room for misunderstanding. Its a seperate issue from the actual price. I'll defend the price with you if it were the issue at hand, evident by the fact that I'm still purchasing. The wording used was just a simple mistake, it didn't call for the still reasonable price to be defended

I agree in full Dust.....

I also see that the 12" diameter RED HUG button is not going to be big enough!

I think the biggest problem in Forum Posts is that even if the information needed has been posted over and over that its often not read or seen.... That encourages Opinions over Facts.

I can tell for certain that Stefan and Jeff will need personal use of the Hug Post by the end of this project. I'm just asking folks to cut them some slack and at least wait till prices are posted on the website to start complaining.....

I have no personal axe to grind with anyone on the forum, just take a few deep breaths and relax, our tiles will show up soon if not already.

I'm sorry to anyone who thinks my wording in the video was misleading...I'm really, really, sorry.....I apologize tremendously.....I don't really know what else to say, i cannot go back in time and remake the video and speak like a lawyer who is in a trail...I'm not an actor...it was really hard to make that video and remember all the words....I'm just a dude.......

I sell my products for the least I can sell them for and stay in business...I don't drive a Ferrari, I live in a small studio with Lulu and our dog in an industrial section of Brooklyn.....

Obviously, I never meant to mislead anyone, I don't see what the problem is honestly...I managed to do exactly what I set out to do, offer affordable Game Tiles in a really great deal...it was a success!
And so I will now be able to offer them going forward for less than I will be able to offer Resin sets....we will continue to offer both lines so the collectors of both lines will be happy...

So please guys, let's celebrate this wonderful moment in 3-D Gaming!

Game Tiles are upon us!

lets all be happy:)

Stefan, I think you guys have done a great job. Even if you did speak like a lawyer someone would still misinterpret it. Some folks misunderstood what they should expect, that's not your fault. All the pertinent information was available and you explicitly spoke of the increases in cost coming up. Assumptions happen and they are often troublesome. It would be great if people phrased their questions about the price difference with resin in a less loaded manner, but emotions run high when people deal with things they are passionate about.

I watched the video as well, several times words have been put in your mouth by others that you never said. I believe there was no malicious intent, they just read between the lines in the wrong direction. You said they would be cheaper and they are. Folks just made different assumptions about what cheaper meant. I think you are handling the criticisms well.

Hang in there Stefan!

I believe the part in the video that confused some of us was "if we get the pledges we hope to get we'll be able to offer twice as many pieces for the levels that we have now". I didn't realize at the time that he was speaking about stretch goals increasing the number of pieces to backers. I'd never done a KS before and I was unfamiliar with how it worked, I thought he meant the sets would allow the store to offer twice as many equivalent pieces for the same price per set once the KS got the molds paid for.

@stefan you really don't owe that big of an apology man, you meant exactly what you said. Some of us just didn't realize what that was. I believe it is I who owes you an apology

First, as Stefan said, Game Tiles are less expensive than resin. Second, when you compare the size and weight of the Game Tiles box vs the resin set, I have to think that shipping costs will also be much cheaper.

I am more than impressed with my sets and will gladly buy more as well as additional resin sets for my collection.

KS backers got a great deal for sure, but if you missed that then they're not really that much cheaper. Although with the rising cost of resin I'm hearing about I'm understanding they're likely to be cheaper than the next batch of MM. At least it saves a lil on shipping and the potential for saving on painting is very nice. The product is pretty awesome though and I'm eager to see them for sale on the site.

We don't even know the pre-order prices yet. They will officially have them posted the week of November 4th.

They did post the multi-set discount for add-ons the other day. i am quite certain it was the same price as Gencon. They took it down within a few hours though.
