TOPIC: Adding add-ons

Adding add-ons 1 Year, 4 Months ago
How do go about adding add-ons after the KS ended? I thought I remember reading that you will have the availability to add add-ons after KS ended.

I would have added sooner, but I got some additional cash that I wasn't expecting.

thanks

From Update #20:

We have received lots of questions about purchasing sets after the close of the campaign. Here are our plans in brief:
1) We will be sending out emails to all backers in early May. At that time, the email will direct you to a dedicated webpage where you can set up an account with our Pledge Manager. You must give us your shipping address (as we don’t get that from Kickstarter), and then confirm your Reward Level and Add-On selections (or added sets if you over-pledged).

2) At that time you will have a chance to increase your Pledge for additional Add-Ons (but these will be available in very limited quantities and for just a brief time -- on a first come, first served basis). You may also correct or adjust miscellaneous items (like adding International shipping). You will not be able to increase your Pledge to obtain additional or higher standard Game Tile Set Reward Levels.

3) Please rest assured that we will be available on an ongoing basis after the campaign to resolve any individual issues or problems.

One note to our backers: There will NOT be any way for non-Kickstarter backers to obtain any product through our Pledge Manager. Only our KS Backers will be allowed to log in and complete an order. We very much appreciate your support during the Kickstarter campaign, and we feel strongly that your generosity should be honored in this manner. Non-Kickstarters will be able to obtain our products at the normal retail price from our website in October.

I hope the Pledge Manager will be a two-stage process. In the first step, people can allocate the money they have already paid through Kickstarter. In the second step, people could up their pledge and buy up any remaining add-ons.

I'm worried by the comment:
"At that time, the email will direct you to a dedicated webpage where you can set up an account with our Pledge Manager... At that time you will have a chance to increase your Pledge for additional Add-Ons (but these will be available in very limited quantities and for just a brief time -- on a first come, first served basis)."

If supplies are indeed "very limited," and a few lightning-fast pledgers were able to increase their pledges before other backers even get a chance to clarify what they've already paid for, there could be a real problem.

As Stefan or Jeff said, this isn't their first rodeo, but the message above is a bit ambiguous on this point.

I would be very sad to go in and find out I can't get the add-ons I already pledged for. As for additional add-ons above and beyond what I pledged for, those I have no issue with the First Come - First Served run.

What I don't understand is how they will know what are "extras" until everyone had added their pledge rundown. Perhaps they will do it in two waves.
