White walls... For the King's Palace....

"normal" with blood stains for a real dungeon of horror effect. I have always thought about doing this to the standard DF but was too afraid to ruin the beauty of the product.

GOLDEN - Can not wait to do this... A dungeon made of glittering gold. Can you say eldorado anyone?

Exactly why I wanted the unpainted version. I hate the idea of overpainting my existing sets but the dark grey dwarvenite? Bring it on!! I am thinking the top layer of stones one color and the rest of the wall something complentary to it. Shadox' idea of a golden room puts in my mind a golden top row with pearly white walls, gold and white pattern floors.
So many possibilities here.
I may need more sets.

Oooohhhh Yeeahhhh Black Light paint. You know I love it... I am actually going to try to create Ghost Portals or in game talk a thin layer between the prime material plane and the astral plane.

An interesting twist would be to paint a set normally, and then paint it again with invisible UV reactive paint. This paint is invisible until it is hit with a UV light -- and then it glows any number of available colors. That would really freak out your players!

We use that paint all the time in True Dungeon, and it works great!

I may follow M4jumbo's fine example and (re)paint 16 floor tiles alternating light and dark to set up a chessboard room.

But I'm awfully tempted to do it with the invisible UV-reactive paint, so I can do the "big reveal" when players are already on it!

That's a GREAT idea. Hmmm...

I can attest to that. The encounter with the "devil" who (if you solved the puzzle) turns into an angel was amazing.

I plan on airbrushing (for speed) a set mid-blue and then drybush it with a light blue and then a white. I will then clear coat them with a glossy finish to get a nice set of icy rooms to use with my ice cavern pieces.

Painting some floor pieces in a checkerboard pattern is a really cool idea and one I will probably steal.

The idea of a golden room is also pretty cool but how often would I really use those pieces? Not often enough to justify the cost.

I am actually looking forward to seeing what paint jobs people come up with after these ship at the end of the year. This could be pretty fun to watch.

After the Kickstarter is over will Dwarven Forge continue to offer both painted and unpainted versions of these sets? Or is it a Kickstarter only offer?

I love the idea of 'ice rooms'!!
Hewn blocks of ice. Also excellent for any Doctor Who 'Ice Warrior' set ups.

I am rubbish at painting. Can't wait till I can start to buy these variously painted sets from ebay as well as DF direct!
